Main characters of the Ethereal Star AU
Full names and then titles/spirit names are provided. All Ethereal Star characters listed are ancestors, not sky kids.
Alef Kochav-Shchar (King Resh)
Prince Alef, later becoming King Resh in the story, is the narrator and main protagonist of the Ethereal Star AU story series. He tells the story from his perspective from when he arrived in Starport Village (Isle of Dawn) as a child to when he becomes Prince and then later King. As he grows, it becomes apparent very powerful magic lies within him...
In his goal to unite all of the inlands, King Resh obtains what is the known kingdom of sky as its ruler (over a period of time).
Kizuna Mayya-Hayye (Pessimistic Sage)
Kizuna (Kiz) befriended Alef first when he arrived to Starport village. She is hyperactive and sassy with strong opinions. She is one of Alef's close friends.
Veluboga Kimmo-Virino (Joyful Bumbler)
Veluboga (Vel) became friends with Alef shortly after he arrived to the village. She is kindhearted and talkative, always wanting to chat with someone who will listen to her. She is one of Alef's close friends.
Olali Hibbayn-Akchi (Melancholy Strategist )
Olali is introduced as an antagonist to Alef, Kizuna and Veluboga, later befriending Alef and Veluboga in the story. It is hinted at that Olali had a troubled past and trauma relating to the dark. His outright blunt and aggressive nature makes it hard for him to get along with others. Olali becomes like a brother to Alef later on in the story.
Lamed "The Oracle" (Vault Elder)
Lamed is Prince Alef's mentor, later on becoming a mother figure for him. She oversees the vault, being responsible for its construction and organization. Lamed is highly respected by the people of the kingdom because of her deep connection with the light and her ability to forsee the future. Lamed is selective with the people she spends her time with when she isn't working.
Lamed is the Elder of the realm known as "The Holy Lands." (The Holy Lands are a mountainous range where The Storm lies)
Daleth "The Ferryman" (Isle Elder)
Daleth is like a grandfather to Alef. He is the village elder and leader of Starport Village, founding it with his late spouse many years prior. Daleth is very humble and selfless, often putting others before himself.
Daleth is not a realm elder.
Tsadi "The Bedouin" (Wasteland Elder)
Tsadi becomes the Prince's personal trainer for physical discipline, teaching him traditional defense and combat from every realm. Tsadi has a bit of a temper but he is kind at heart.
Tsadi is the Elder of the realm known as "Golden Dunes," though the realm is mostly beautiful greenery at the time of it's highest glory (The realm got the name "golden dunes" due to the amount of starseed that would pollinate the land centuries before Tsadi was the elder of the realm).
Ayin "Light Prophet" (Prairie Elder)
For a few years, Alef studied magic at Ayin’s temple. Later on, Ayin helps the young prince import light and starseed into his temporary palace during the construction of the city of Eden.
Ayin is the Elder of the realm "Starport" (The realm is known for its imports and exports of goods, the migration of animals and travelers).
Teth "The Artificer of the Forest" (Forest Elder)
Teth becomes the Prince's artificer and inventor, remining so when the prince becomes King. Teth is a workaholic, stubborn, and a hot-head. Once she has her mind set on something, there is no changing it.
Teth is the Elder of the realm "Souther Pulsar" (the realm is known for its large deposits of darkstone and other precious materials).
Kohonet "The High Priestess" (Priestess of Valley)
Kohonet, or refered to as "The High Priestess," anointed Alef as prince, blessing him, but later on refusing to anoint him as King. Kohonet is a religious leader who follows the ways of the old religion of light worship with an iron fist.
Kohonet was the Elder of the realm "Northern Pulsar" before her death.
Samekh "The King's Champions" (Valley Elders)
Sah and Mek, or Known as Samekh when together, are Kohonet's children. Their conception was considered to be scandalous, so they were hidden from the public until Kohonet died. King Resh took in Samekh when they were only 8 years of age and he trained them and taught them like a father. They tried their best to follow in their mother's footsteps of becoming religious leaders, but they later on became devices for the entertainment of the people through sports.
Samekh would go on to inherit Northern Pulsar when they came of age (since Northern Pulsar did not follow the tradition of the ancient trials as a realm. The realm's leadership is passed down from parent to child or whoever the community votes if the leader was childless).
