Written for @au-roulette 2026 for the prompt roleswap
Sometimes I wonder why my mind works this way, but let's not get into those details, shall we?
Therefor, without any introduction, my entry for the 2026 @au-roulette
It's only 666 words, I'd recommend to dive into this without summary.
Notes:
My first participation in the AU Roulette and one of the assignments I didn't want to get was Mecha...
Guess what I got?
Anyway, somehow I found myself diving into exactly that (although I could have picked one of the other two).
Don't ask my why, I still don't know myself, but here it is.
Rating: M (because of the last sentence)

Alternate Universe-mentioning of giant robots-and androids-an angel -A demon-check the word count-a demon and an angel are having a conversation-about giant fighting robots-Androids-there's also a mentioning about gorillas-AND BANANAS
Available on AO3: Let's not get into details, shall we?
Full story under the keep reading bar
In another universe, far away from our own, where the battle between angels and demons is fought by giant robots, two of these celestial beings are having dinner at a place called ‘the Zitz.’ The wine flows rapidly and plenty. After all they have something to celebrate.
This is not a story about that victory.
This is their conversation after that victory.
“Who would have thought. World Champion six times on a row,” Aziraphale says while filling Crowley’s glass again. Several empty bottles already decorate their table. Six, to be precise, one for every year.
“There’s no robot like Hellrazor.” The more Crowley drinks, the louder he drinks. For once, Aziraphale does not care. “He’s unbearable, I mean unbeatable! He’s like a gorilla. The big mountain ones. Whoosing every other robot down. Like bananas!”
“Yes.” Aziraphale doesn’t care about giant robot fights, or gorillas, but he’s a supportive spouse and cares for bananas.
“Why do you never join? You should join. With your own robot. It’s loads of fun! You could make it throw books!”
“I rather read books.”
“My little bookworm,” Crowley says fondly. “Do tell me, why is there a man in your cupboard?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“The cupboard upstairs. The one without books, next to that old chest I told you to throw away.”
“Ah, yes, that would be Derek. And he’s not a man. He’s an android.”
“You’ve got a robot?” Crowley can’t believe his ears. Even more disturbing is the question of why he did not know this. He has been living at that bookshop for over a century now.
“I own an android named Derek, yes. I play chess with him, he’s very good.”
“You can play chess with me. And on me, if you get my drift,” Crowley snickers.
“Yes, my dear, I always get your drift.” Aziraphale looks at Crowley over the rim of his glass. “Derek doesn’t cheat.”
“And you keep him in a cupboard?”
“Of course. There’s no room in the chest. That’s where I keep Jim.”
“Jim? That’s, that’s… another robot, I hope?”
“An android, a special kind of android. He’s the ragdoll type. I take him out when I want to snuggle against someone while reading.”
“You’ve got me for snuggles and, well, everything else. You can snuggle against me any time. You know that!”
“You’re not always around.”
“Fair enough. So, you’ve got two robots. I can live with that knowledge.”
“Hmmm.”
“Hmmm?”
“There’s also Mr. Brown.”
“WHOT?! Mr Carpet Brown?”
“I don’t take him out very often. Only when I’m frustrated and want to complain to someone. You know how much I hate yelling at people. Especially at you! Mr. Brown is exceptionally good for stress relief.”
"That sounds very unlikely."
“No, he is! Can you name me one other person at whom I would yell? One single other person?”
“Can’t think of anyone. Three robots. My angel has three robots. Who would have thought?”
“Well, actually…”
“No, nonono! What else have you stored in that bookshop of ours?”
“Do you remember when you went to Edinburgh last year? That big competition they hold every five years?”
“The WGHG, World Giant Highland Games? Yeah, I remember, big fun. Won those too. Obviously.”
“You told me that you’d be gone for three weeks and I can’t leave my bookshop behind for that long. I would have to stay home and I knew I’d miss you terribly, so…”
“So?”
“I had an android made that looks just like you.” Even nicer, but Aziraphale is still not drunk enough to say it aloud. Some thoughts are best to keep to oneself. “Only to keep me company, mind you.”
“Not for weird stuff?”
“No weird stuff with your android self, pinky swear.”
“Aziraphale?”
“All right! If you must know, I also had your head made.”
“My head?”
“Yes.”
“Just my head?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Let’s not go into details, shall we?” Aziraphale says while he puts a sausage in his mouth.
I have done it !! I wrote three works and now it is time to share them with the world Tumblr. Thank you @au-roulette for hosting this, I had lots of fun <3
I signed up with the MCU as a fandom and am happy to say that I have stayed more than consistent and used two of my favourite Sokovians for all three prompts.
Under the cut you will have the link to the collection and a little but about each work separately, please enjoy <3

[Еквивалентност смрти] – A “Godfather Death” retelling
01 AU-Roulette: Alternate Universe - Fairy Tale
Characters: Helmut Zemo, Heike Zemo, Carl Zemo, Heinrich Zemo
Excerpt:
“Take me as your child’s godfather.” the stranger spoke in a voice that was like a cold wind against one's face. “But, who are you, sir?” Zemo asked again, tired eyes watching the figure move closer to him.
“I am death, who makes everyone equal.” For a moment Helmut was quietly considering the stranger – death – in front of him.
“You are the one. You treat them all the same once their time has come, you shall be my son’s godfather.”
Death smiled, a small private thing, and accepted with a silent nod. “I will make your child rich in joy and happiness. He will be loved by the people and will love them back equally, unconditionally. I will stay by his side, for with a friend like myself he need not fear the end.”
“She is said to be the most powerful being alive, a woman so strong that there is no other that could compete with her – not even the sorcerer supreme himself. Apparently she wasn’t even born, she was forged by her magic. No need for a coven or incantations, she was able to masterfully manipulate chaos magic from the second she came to life."
Wanda took a moment to find her words, hands folded carefully over her lap as she considered what to reveal. “I love how you talk about her.” She finally settled on, “It’s like you know and love her, in a way"
It has been so long now, the creature in the wall has not yet emerged fully, only eyes and mouths and hands with nails and sharp claws. I’ve seen them now, the hands I mean. They are just like my own. Nails bitten down, a nervous tick I’ve had ever since being a child, and they are so perfectly replicated that even the guards and medical staff thought I scratched myself. They don’t know, and I don’t want to tell them anymore.
They will see soon enough, for I have made a plan of escape once the man behind the steel is ready.
