Auctober Catchup
I missed the end of Auctober, so I'm gonna just post my thoughts on the rest of the prompts.
So expect that shortly...
I’ve always liked small, cozy spaces. I used to roll myself up in blankets or quilts, pretending I was a caterpillar in a cocoon. I like pulling my blankets about my head to make a cave. I read under the covers as a child. Sometimes I like to go under tables, under beds, in closets, and anywhere else that’s comfortable and small.
It means that I’m safe and warm, and the scariness and stress of the world can’t find me.
Happy Halloween, everyone! This has been wonderful. This is the first art challenge I’ve ever completed, so I feel very proud! And I’m proud of all of you for your art/writing, sharing your stories, or even just enjoying the content. :)
My mom makes food accommodations for me all the time, such as getting certain foods when I visit, changing recipes, and making separate helpings for me. Of course, this is far from the only thing she does to help me, but it’s a very important one!
I’ve had trouble telling her how I feel about certain food, because I don’t want to make her upset. But she has told me that what she’s worried about is that I’m fed, and that her self-worth isn’t tied to her cooking.
I not only have heightened sympathy for people, but for inanimate objects as well. This is great in some aspects, such as assigning personalities to my stuffed animals. However, if I decide not to buy a plush or object at a store, I sometimes get a pang of guilt for giving it “false hope”.
Final day Auctober. Im sorry. Is rushed sketch. On verge of meltdown :( Maybe will finish later. Right now trapped on campus with very loud Neurotypicals foolig around outside my door for Halloween. Wanted to end on positive though. Rushed sketch but if cant tell i holding cat. Today prompt is “sensory euphoria.” Feel happiest and calmest with my cat. Wish i could be with him right now. Had hard week, could use cat hugs ❤️

Auctober 2024 day 31 : Sensory euphoria
As a kid, there was a few mundane things I loved doing, like crushing sand or saying certain words because it inexplicably felt good. Now it's more the feeling of cool stone, when the sun hits me just right and softly warms me up, the texture of macarons when you chew it, putting my head on my cat and feeling the vibrations of her purring, all those things that make me feel alive and bring me joy :)
Aaaaaaand finish ! With this, Auctober is over for me ! I think I did good personnaly, it was an enjoyable experience (。・ω・。)ノ♡
DAY 31 - Sensory Euphoria
Big, comfy couch & blanket, safe food & water on standby, engaging with good ol' comfort media... ooh yeah. This is gonna be a great night.
Thank you everyone who took part in AUctober this year. Take care, y'all 💛
