Major Lockwood, I hope that this is not too invasive a question but... I’ve heard it said that Kasrkin Commandos receive cybernetic implants to enable them to casually march with line guardsmen while carrying twice the gear. Is there any truth to this? If so as a Kasr what were your implants. Same to other Kasr’s in the Edges. And to other stormtroopers if any would like to answer. How prevalent are minor cybernetics?
Aww, that’s not invasive. As far as I know it’s pretty normal for Kasrkins and similar elite troops to opt for augmentations before they are necessarily needed. I’m actually probably a little unusual in how little of me is modified. All I have is some synth muscle replacements in my lower back.
In addition to his eye - which was necessary, I think Jacobi also has sub dermal armour and a few augmetic joints.
Now Rolm, who I admit we haven't talked about much lately, he seems to have all sorts of things going on but - he’s also mindwiped sooo... he probably doesn't even know what he has.

Commissar Raege, following a recent question about cybernetics I’ve come to wonder. What was it like getting a replacement shoulder? Does it ever feel weird? Hurt? Ache? Ever give you any problems?
The sensation is relatively similar. If anything the strangest thing is how it doesn’t fatigue like flesh does. If I spend all day doing heavy bag work, one shoulder feels tired, the other does not. It has augmented strength behind it, so if I lift something with both arms, there is a sense of imbalance as one is clearly doing more of the work, but I try and shift my weight to compensate.
It hasn’t altered my combat much. Before my augment, I tended to favour my left anyways, I would work someone defence down with lefts and feints before delivering a dropping shot with my right. Same premise is still in place its just that now with the augmetic shoulder, the final right is more devastating than it was.
It took her way to long to get used to. She was meant to be giving some creep an interrogation punch. Just destroyed their head.
Now, don’t get me wrong, we were gonna kill them anyways - or maybe the inquisition was - and we had other folks to get the information from but it was really obviously just incompetence not intimidation.
She just gave me this dumb shrug like a kid who’d put a ball through a window.
It’s got segmented plates it it for armour and flexibility, so sometimes my hair gets caught in it if when I’m coming out of the shower. That’s the only real problem.
Her woeful lack of understanding of human musculature and the nature of augmetics is part of the problem. She, undoubtedly, thinks the shoulder is just plopped on top of her arm, where her old shoulder was. She doesn’t realise that the muscle of the upper arm shoulder are connected to many muscles lower down, so that she actually has, at least some degree of sub-dermal augmetics and synth muscle running almost to her finger tips.
I really had to insist that she start drinking with her left hand after about the forth glass.
