Memoir of a Snail
2024
So apparently there’s a new adult Australian cartoon coming out this year. That is following a queer teenager dealing with discovering himself in a remote, conservative community in northern Queensland. And it’s also by the same people who did bluey so it’s going to be really really pretty.
But yeah I don’t know when it’s coming out or where it will be streaming or airing but I’m excited. It looks really charming and cute. We desperately need more LGBT representation and not just animation but also Australian media and there’s very few with gay men.
The majority of queer rep in cartoons are usually lesbians, bisexual and non-binary people which is fucking amazing but also where is the variety? There is so much in regards to gender, sexuality, culture, class and disability. That never gets touched so I’m glad we’re taking one baby step at a time.
The new Australian animated series from Flying Bark, Tales from Outer Suburbia, based on the book by Shaun Tan, is now on BYUtv online in the U.S., with the series also appearing on ABC iview in Australia! Also, BYUtv's website and streaming app are free and open to view!
Klara and Pim move to the suburbs—but strange encounters hint their new home holds unexpected secrets.
According to this there should have been 4 seasons of Tabaluga. That would explain the weird ending of the final episode of season 3 because there should have been a continuation. Tabaluga was canceled.

Hello. Are there any bluey fans out there? 👀
This is an illustration I did earlier this year, while imaging what a bluey book would look like if it was illustrated in a Beatrix Potter inspired style.
I turned the illustration into a mock page of a book and I couldn’t be happier with how it came together 🥰 I would love to do some more of these too, maybe I will when I get some time.
Something about cartoon single dad getting betrayed by the one person they trusted and separated from their fanily, spending years stuck in a form they cant undo.
