2 things that I've found that you just cannot rush. 1. Breaking in new Docs. (I honestly thought these beauties were a bit farther along) 2. Getting groundwork laid for a good story.
No matter how much I want to jump into the "juicy bits" that are coming, I know that without some of the background laid, that the stories and relationships will fall flat. Sometimes my muses want to jump forward too, so there is a bit of back and forth writing for me right now. Which is one reason that more hasn't gone up other than a few musings. I did rewrite Anna's Casket Girl story from where it was used for a roleplay in the past to reflect how she is going to be when brought into this world and story. It is posted both on that storyline's page @adrielandanna and on the main storyline page @theimperiumchronicles.
So while I keep wanting to rush through some of the groundwork and relationship building that is happening, just like rushing breaking in my Docs, it will leave things not feeling right in the future. Seeing as how my oldest pair of Docs is approaching 20, which is not quite as long as I've been writing, you'd think I'd know better by now about both. What can I say? You're never too old to be impatient.
