Let me tell you a true story…

Has anyone ever asked you "What good is writing for?"

Many authors to go into "real jobs" for a variety of personal reasons, sometimes unfortunately jobs that might not relate to our true interests with people who don't get it. They don't get what makes creatives tick and if can be exhausting to feel like you can't use your talents to contribute anything worthwhile.

But Prof. G was not one of those people. I was blessed to meet him at the time I did and wanted to share some of his wise words with all of you. I hope you find them as encouraging as I did.

I read their dark epic fantasy book Dreams Shadow earlier this year and absolutely loved it. I MADE IT A YEAR?!

I was honestly in shock when I looked back through my archive and realized that I not only hit fifty (50!) posts, but also a full year of consistent weekly blogging. I never imagined I'd make it this far when I first started playing with wordpress, attempting to make an author's website because, "that's what 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 writers do, right?" Thanks for coming along on this journey with me.

To celebrate, I wrote a bonus post about the lessons I've learned in the past year. I hope you can learn from my experience, or at least find my take-aways interesting and worth the read. 💛
