I JUST HAD AN IDEA

Hear me out. Nothing is worse than being at work and thinking 'shit, did I turn of the oven? Are there no more lit candles? Is the hair fryer still plugged in?'

So. At your front door there hangs a screen, with little leds that can make letters, like one of those fast food LED signs. (But not the moving letters)

On your phone, there is an app with a checklist you make yourself.

Candles: lit

Oven: on

Hairstraightner: plugged in

They are checked on the app as 'active' meaning that the LED on your front door says these things in big letters. So you cannot leave your home without seeing them.

If you blow out the candles, you can check them on the app, and the LED no longer shows these.

When you have uncheked them all, you can leave your house (you can before as well, but now there are no angry red letters glaring at you)

Once at work, you can open the app in 'LED display mode', which shows the state of your LED. If all is well, nothing should show.

Maybe even an additional feature that makes the app beep angrily if you are a certain distance from the LED and things aren't unchecked

I am constantly forgetting if I've taken my meds. I have so many that are either scheduled or PRN. I also forget if I've taken an OTC med too. I have one of those timers that goes on top of a pill bottle that I use for Tylenol. I put this together today and it's already helping me!
