When you self-diagnose yourself at the age of 13/14 thanks to a supportive online comunity but all of the adults just laugh at you and make you ashamed so you decide to bottle it up for years and don’t even tell it your therapist until your therapist finds out by herself that you show signs of ASD and diagnoses you with it

Autistic brain vs ADHD brain: fight! I wanted to finish this one before the end of autism acceptance month (which is April for whose of you who don’t know), but a lot of things happened so I had to slow down for a while
If you’re both autistic and ADHD, I’m sure you’re familiar with that feeling, that there’s a war in your brain between sticking carefully to your routine and “fuck it! *unroutines your routine* “ because you need your dose of *~* new things that bring dopamine *~*, and until the conflict gets resolved you physically can’t do anything. ... At least *I* am very familiar with it

Can’t tell if this is being autistic or not or being too comfortable of being an introvert. But this idea of having company (friends or relationships) and relying on them for your gain is a little weird In my view. I can’t understand holding on to someone’s company just because you feel lonely. Why not learn to be by yourself?
My response to the newest "cause" of Autism articles going around. "Ooh! Ooh! Is it soft melty cheese?! Cause I needs mah mac!" You can tell I take these forms of proof very seriously. "very seriously" to be said with a dry sarcasm.
"I just wanted to pressure stim" A quick and messy vent comic Panel 1: A teen plays on their phone with a cat plushy on their lap, text reads "stuffed animal filled with rocks" Panel 2: The teen looks forwards in excitement with a light bulb flashing Panel 3: The teen runs off with the plushy, their face still in excitement Panel 4: The teen holds up two weights with stars in their eyes, the text reads "weights" Panel 5: A view of the "butt" of the plushy unzipped and the weights being stuck into the butt, the text reads "cram cram" Panel 6: A view of the plushy with awkward lumps, above text reads "13 pounds" and bottom text says "~lumpy~" Panel 7: The teen is back in their original position, sitting with the plush on their lap, they are smiling and blushing with hearts all around them, scattered bits of text reading "stimmy," "heavy," and "pressure" Panel 8: A close up of the teen's mom with a question mark next to her, text reads "mom" Panel 9: The mom sternly talks to the teen, the teen has large bubbly sad eyes, text reads "take the weights out" Panel 10: The teen returns to their original position playing on their phone with the no longer weighted plush on their lap, scattered bits of text reading "too light," "ugh," and "under stimulated"
I genuinely don’t understand the connection when you touch someone...It’s weird and foreign. I see others do this so effortlessly and they seem to easily form connections that way and I’m jealous. I can’t do that.
rough draft of a comic. I’ve been feeling overwhelmed and tired because of college and family and how much they demand communication. They cannot see why i said “demand” because they find it ridiculous and that it is a natural thing to be able to communicate daily. I cannot feel happy doing this everyday, but I will express myself through these comics to help me cope slightly.
