My problem with autistic jokes

I’ve known I was autistic for my whole life. My mother, father, and both my brothers are all autistic. Signs of autism have been very predominant in almost all of my secondary family members too. So it’s safe to assume I know how autism works pretty well. I can see the signs of autism, I can understand how people with autism work since it’s been such a big part in my life. But the outside world doesn’t really grasp that. I don’t typically get offended at jokes, me and my family have a horrible sense of humor so offensive jokes relating to our disabilities or feelings were normal. When it comes to those edgy autistic memes, I don’t like them not because I’m offended but because they just aren’t correct on how autism actually is. They male autism seem like this obscure thing where autistic people have no reasons for doing things, which is very untrue. It may not seem like autistic people have reasons for their “odd” behavior but there is almost always a reason. I won’t just have meltdowns for no reason. I can still recognize different objects. It’s so confusing on why people think I can’t understand these things because they have nothing to do with autism. If autistic jokes were accurate I would like them, but autistic jokes right now just don’t make sense. It’s like, if you are going to laugh at me at least laugh at something I actually do.
