Recently took part in an autistic stress study that specifically made sure to ask the participants about their experience in the study and their thoughts/feelings/stress/lifestyle etc etc etc
I made sure to tell the researcher that that will get him far and that asking autistic people about what we are experiencing directly is SO good!
Plus I got an $80 Amazon gift card (I hate Amazon but I do love money so... 🙃) and a personality assessment (which I personally love bc I'm addicted to personality quizzes).
If you wanna do the study too, they are actually looking for any diagnosed autistic people in the US who are currently in college! DM me and I'll send you the flier and info!
They will need to mail you a heart monitor but otherwise the test itself was 2 hours or less!

Hi guys, after chatting about my previous video where I talked about the lack of helpful resources for autistic people, my friend Thomas and I wanted to share some study tips! If you know of any good resources (school-related, or otherwise!), please leave a comment or message me so I can share them (:
The 2 flashcard apps mentioned: https://www.ankiapp.com/ and https://tinycards.duolingo.com/ (:
The Pomodoro Technique https://francescocirillo.com/pages/po...
(A quick note on this! You might be someone who struggles to go in and out of tasks and is disoriented by starting and stopping something you’re working on - that’s a difficulty that a lot of autistic people have, so it might be better for you to use longer periods of study time before you take a break. That way, you don’t have to worry so much about the difficulty of getting back into it after going away.
It’s a case of thinking about how much time you’re able to effectively concentrate for and making sure that you’re not overloading yourself by not taking breaks regularly enough - if you try to take in too much at a time, the information often stops going in. The Pomodoro technique is about making your time most effective, and that depends on what works for you!)
Hope you enjoy + good luck with your studies!
(a gentle yikes @ my patchy skin - that red complexion & concealer combo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. As a wise friend told me, "acne is a value-neutral attribute, yo!")
Autistic Research by Neurodivergent Researchers For Autistic Adults
My friend is conducting a research study that is seeking to develop a better psychological assessment regarding autism and to be more inclusive of ALL autistic people!! Please consider taking 35 minutes out of your week to meet with them and to complete the study
Plus you could get $25 for Amazon from a raffle, so what's to lose? you help your community and could get paid.
In order to participate in this study, you must first complete a brief screening meeting. Please schedule a time from the calendar. If you d
The only way we can improve these things is to engage in the research. The reason I'm an autistic researcher is because I wanted to be involved in the production of our knowledge with research.
