The statistics are that a very high percentage of lesbians *have experienced abuse in relationships*. a LOT of that abuse comes from lesbians who were abused in relationships with men, either before realizing they were a lesbian or through ending up in a straight relationship for "protection". (There's also the fact that lots of abusers have multiple victims, so like. x percentage of lesbians have been abused doesn't necessitate that x lesbians are abusive even only looking at lesbian relationships)
So what you mean is that those statistics are usually very high because it’s also counting the abuse lesbians have suffered when they were in relationships with men? So people using those statistics are even more shitty than I thought they were…
