On July 30, 2025, Copperas Cove proved what a small town with a big heart can accomplish. The 2nd Annual Hiring Event brought together:

✅ 52 employers & community resource partners ✅ 717 job seekers ✅ 189 veterans

For a town like ours, these numbers speak volumes. American Veterans Mission (AVM) was honored to support this impactful event as a Silver Tier sponsor.

Huge thanks to Brittany Sanders and the CCEDC team for planning and executing an event that created real opportunity and connection.

🎒 Killeen Back-to-School Brigade – July 26, 2025

American Veterans Mission is proud to join Operation Homefront once again for the Killeen Back-to-School Brigade this Saturday at Texas A&M University–Central Texas!

🕘 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM 📍 Texas A&M University–Central Texas 🎁 Free school supplies for pre-registered military families

Led locally by AVM’s Executive Director, Anthony Martinez (also OH’s Team Captain), this day of service brings together nonprofits, volunteers, and businesses to uplift our Central Texas military community.

We’re grateful to Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q of Killeen for stepping up with a donation at 10:30 AM, and we look forward to connecting with several other local partners throughout the day.

A Powerful Week of Service and Inspiration at the 2025 Points of Light Conference

We’re heading home from New Orleans energized, grateful, and more committed than ever to building people-centered impact in the places we call home. 🌍💙

The 2025 Points of Light Conference brought together changemakers, nonprofit leaders, and community organizers from across the country — and American Veterans Mission (AVM) was proud to be part of it.

Spending time with the dedicated teams at @pointsoflight and fellow advocates for volunteerism reminded us why this work matters. From uplifting keynotes to honest conversations about what service looks like in action, every moment left us inspired.
