With patience and tenderness, he would do everything within his power to help you regain your strength and vitality.
If Neteyam saw you waking up from a coma after being severely injured, his heart would surge with a potent mix of overwhelming relief and deep-seated concern for your well-being. As the eldest sibling, Neteyam is no stranger to shouldering the weight of responsibility for the safety and protection of his loved ones, and he would undoubtedly feel an unshakeable sense of duty to care for your recovery. A young man of honor and unwavering devotion, Neteyam treasures his relationships with others and cherishes the bonds that tie them together. For him, your recovery would present an unparalleled opportunity to deepen your bond and strengthen your connection, perhaps even as a chance to showcase his dedication and loyalty as a partner. Of course, Neteyam is not impervious to the pressures of his own dreams and aspirations, and he may struggle with the conflict between his desire to care for you and his own personal goals. Yet, his fierce loyalty and unwavering sense of responsibility would compel him to prioritize your needs above all else. Throughout the healing process, Neteyam would be a steadfast presence of unwavering support and comfort for you, offering a listening ear and a compassionate heart to guide you toward recovery.
As Neteyam watched the sun rise above the distant mountains, he felt a weight lifting from his heart. For days, he had been by your side, watching over you as you lay in a coma, your body weak and still. But this morning, something had shifted. A flutter of movement, a soft sigh, and then your eyes opened, blinking in the bright light of day. Neteyam's heart leaped with joy, and he rushed to your side, his footsteps light on the forest floor.
"You're awake," he breathed, his voice filled with relief and tenderness. As he looked down at you, he saw your eyes searching his face, your expression soft and uncertain. He reached out to take your hand, his touch gentle and reassuring. "It's me, Neteyam," he said, his voice barely more than a whisper. "You're safe now. I'm here for you.” You gave a weak smile, your hand squeezing his in gratitude. And then, suddenly, your face crumpled with pain, and you cried out softly. Neteyam's heart clenched with fear, but he kept his voice calm and steady.
"It's okay," he murmured, reaching out to stroke your hair. "I'm here. I won't leave you." For hours, he sat by your side, watching over you as you drifted in and out of consciousness. He sang to you softly, his voice like a soothing balm, and held your hand as if it were the most precious thing in the world.
He would be your rock, your constant companion, and your unwavering support, always there for you when you needed him most.
If Lo’ak saw you waking up from a coma after being severely injured his heart would likely fill with an overwhelming sense of joy and gratitude. He would be by your side in an instant, a rush of emotions coursing through him as he took in the sight of you regaining consciousness. As he watched you come back to life, he would be overcome with a deep sense of relief that you had managed to pull through such a traumatic experience. But along with his relief would come a fierce concern for your well-being. Lo'ak would be acutely aware of the pain and suffering you had endured, and he would be determined to do everything in his power to help you recover. Whether it meant staying by your side day and night, or providing you with the emotional support and care that you needed to heal, he would be there for you every step of the way. In the weeks and months that followed, Lo'ak would be a constant presence in your life, offering you his unwavering support and encouragement as you worked to regain your strength and independence. He would listen to your every need, and do whatever he could to make your recovery as smooth and painless as possible. At times, he might express his emotions openly, his love and affection for you shining through in every word and gesture. He would remind you of your worth and your strength, and encourage you to keep pushing forward, even when the road ahead seemed long and difficult.
The morning sun painted your skin in hues of orange and gold as Lo'ak sat by your side. For days he had been waiting, praying for you to wake up from the deep sleep of the wounded. And as if the Great Mother had heard his prayers, you stirred.
Lo'ak's heart leaped with joy as he saw your eyes flutter open, your gaze soft and unfocused. Without a second thought, he took your hand in his, feeling your fingers weakly wrap around his.
"Welcome back, my love," he whispered, the words heavy with emotion.
Tears of relief streamed down his cheeks as he held you close, feeling the steady rhythm of your heartbeat against his chest. He couldn't help but think of all the moments you had shared together, all the laughter and tears, all the love you had built between them. And now, he was grateful for every single one of those moments, for they had led him to this moment of pure happiness.
"I was so worried," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion. "But you're here now, and that's all that matters. You're safe."
He knew the road to recovery would be long and hard, but he was ready to face it with you by his side. For as long as he lived, he would protect you, cherish you, and love you with all his heart.
For Kiri knew that no matter what lay ahead, she would face it all with you, together, as one.
If Kiri saw you waking up from a coma after being severely injured, her heart would be seized by a tumultuous mixture of emotions. Relief and joy would be warred within her breast, as the realization dawned that you had returned to her from the brink of death. And yet, those sentiments would be mingled with a wave of fierce anger and frustration, for the memory of the brutal harm that had befallen you still burned bright in her mind. But as that tempestuous storm of emotion raged on, another feeling began to take root within Kiri's soul: a sense of duty, of obligation, of responsibility. She knew, in the depths of her being, that she must be there for you in this time of need, to offer comfort, support, and succor in whatever form you might require. And so, with a fierce determination, she vowed to stand by your side as you fought to reclaim your strength and health, to hold you close and offer the warmth of her love to soothe the wounds that still pained you.
Kiri sat beside you, her hand clasping yours tightly. For weeks, she had kept vigil at your side, praying to Eywa that you would awaken from the coma that had taken you.
As the gentle light of dawn filtered through the trees, Kiri felt a soft squeeze on her hand. Her heart leaped in her chest as she saw your eyes flutter open, gazing up at her with a mix of confusion and recognition.
"Kiri…" you whispered weakly, reaching up to touch her face.
Tears streamed down Kiri's cheeks as she leaned in to kiss your forehead, murmuring words of love and gratitude to Eywa.
"My love," she said, her voice trembling with emotion. "You're awake. I thought I had lost you forever."
Your lips curved into a weak smile as you returned the embrace, your tails intertwining in a sign of your unbreakable bond.
"I'm here," you said softly. "I'll always be here with you, my Kiri."
Her unflagging encouragement and relentless devotion bear testament to the boundless depths of her love, an enduring force that will endure long after the storm of injury has passed.
If Neytiri saw you waking up from a coma after being severely injured, her heart would swell with the sweet relief of joy, tears of elation shining bright in her eyes at the thought of you returning to the world of the living. Her soul would sing a hymn of gratitude to Eywa, the deity revered by the Na’vi, for sparing your life. But even as she celebrates your resurgence, her empathetic nature compels her to feel deep and abiding sorrow for the pain and torment that you have endured. She would feel an intense desire to alleviate your suffering and ease your transition into this new phase of your life. Her commitment to your recuperation is unshakable, and she devotes herself wholeheartedly to supporting you through every challenge and setback. As a beacon of emotional solace, Neytiri remains steadfast and unwavering in her guidance, a trusted confidant who stands by your side through every trial of the recovery journey.
Spider is a man of action, not words.
If Spider saw you waking up from a coma after being severely injured, his heart race with a mix of relief and joy. Overwhelmed with emotion, he can't contain his excitement, and his body erupts with an exuberant energy that reverberates through the forest. Tears stream down his face as he rushes to your side, pulling you into a warm embrace as he whispers prayers of thanks to Eywa. At that moment, all the weight of the world is lifted from Spider's broad shoulders. He gazes into your eyes and overcomes you with a sense of gratitude and wonder that you have returned to him. Yet, even in the midst of his elation, Spider's impatience for you to fully recover begins to surface. He may urge you to push past your physical limitations, to test the limits of your newfound strength. He would want to see you back to your old self as quickly as possible. He may struggle to express the depth of his feelings in language, but his actions speak louder than any words ever could. Whether it's through bringing you food, hunting for your favorite delicacies, or simply spending time by your side, he will show you in every way possible just how much you mean to him.
Miles had been waiting for weeks, his heart heavy with worry and anticipation, watching over you as you lay still and unmoving in your coma. But as the sun began to rise on another day, he noticed a subtle shift in your breathing. His heart leaped with hope, and he rushed to your side, his movements fluid and graceful.
"Eywa, hear my plea," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion as he took your hand in his. "Let her awaken, let her return to me."
And then, like a miracle, you stirred, your eyes fluttering open as you took in the world around you. Miles was beside himself with joy, tears streaming down his face as he embraced you tightly.
"You're back, you're here with me !" he exclaimed, his voice filled with relief and happiness.
You looked up at him, your eyes bright with recognition and love.
"I missed you," you whispered, your voice soft and weak.
Miles took your hand in his and pressed it gently to his heart.
"You have no idea how much I missed you too," he said, his words full of unspoken love and devotion.
As you sat together in the early light of dawn, Miles couldn't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude and awe at the power of your connection. For in that moment, as you gazed into each other's eyes, he knew that you were bound together forever by something stronger than mere flesh and bone, something that transcended time and space itself.
Tsireya's love and care would continue to be a guiding light, a beacon of hope and comfort that would lead her to a full and complete recovery.
If Tsireya saw you waking up from a coma after being severely injured, her heart swelled with joy and relief. With tender hands and a gentle voice, she would express her love and support, whispering words of comfort and reassurance. Tsireya's deep connection with the natural world and her knowledge of medicinal plants would guide her actions, as she would carefully tend to your injuries with the utmost care and attention. With every soothing touch and every healing herb, Tsireya's devotion to you would shine bright like the stars that lit up the night sky of Pandora. Yet, she would watch over you with unwavering vigilance, making sure you did not push yourself too hard or take any risks that could jeopardize your recovery. For Tsireya, your health and well-being would be everything, and she would do everything in her power to see you back to your full strength.
The forest was quiet as Tsireya walked towards the medical facility where you had been recovering. Her heart beat faster as she thought of the moment she would see you again, hoping with all her being that you would have finally woken up from the coma.
As she arrived at the entrance, she saw the healers exit with a smile on their faces. Her heart leaped with joy as she realized that they had come to deliver good news. She approached them with a hopeful look in her eyes, and they nodded, confirming that you had indeed awakened.
Tears streamed down Tsireya's face as she rushed to your side, her heart overflowing with love and gratitude. She gently took your hand, feeling the warmth of your skin, and whispered words of love and support in your ear.
"My love, I am so grateful you have woken. You are my heart, my soul, and my spirit. I will never leave your side and will do everything in my power to help you heal," she said, her voice choked with emotion. Tsireya gazed into your eyes, feeling a deep connection between your spirits. "I will use the knowledge passed down by my ancestors to help you, and I will make sure you do not push yourself too hard. Rest, my love. Eywa will take care of you, and I will be here by your side, always."
His love for you was fierce and unwavering, and he would do anything to keep you safe in your tumultuous world.
If Aonung saw you waking up from a coma after being severely injured, a rush of emotions would flood his being. Relief would course through him, yet his stoic demeanor remained intact, masking the underlying guilt he felt for not being able to protect you from harm. He stood by your side, guarded yet attentive, silently willing you to heal and return to him. In the quiet moments as he watched over you, Aonung couldn't help but be awed by your resilience. Your strength in the face of such adversity left him in awe and stirred a deep affection within him. As your condition improved, his heart swelled with pride and he became more open in his displays of love and devotion. With your recovery came a renewed sense of protectiveness from Aonung. He would not let harm come to you again, and he became more confrontational with any potential threats to your happiness.
As the soft light of dawn seeped into the hut, Aonung stirred from his restless sleep. His eyes fluttered open, and he sat up with a start as he caught sight of you lying on the cot next to him. His heart leaped with joy and relief as he saw you slowly opening her eyes.
"Eywa be praised, you're awake," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion.
Your gaze fixed on him, and you reached out to touch his face. "Aonung…I'm so glad you're here."
Aonung took your hand in his and brought it to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss to your fingers. "I was always here, love. And I'll always be here for you, no matter what."
As he spoke, he felt a wave of guilt wash over him, thinking of the injury that had nearly taken your life. He had failed to protect you, to keep you safe from harm. But he pushed the feeling aside, focusing on the present moment and the overwhelming joy of seeing you awake and alive.
He leaned in closer, his voice softening. "How do you feel? Does anything hurt?"
You shook your head, a faint smile gracing your lips. "I feel okay. Just a little weak."
Aonung nodded, relief flooding through him. He couldn't bear the thought of losing you, of never seeing that smile again. He vowed to himself that he would do everything in his power to keep you safe and happy.
He leaned in to kiss you gently on the lips, savoring the taste of you and the warmth of your body. "I love you. And I always will."
You smiled up at him, your eyes shining with love and trust. "I love you too, Aonung. Forever and always."
Tonowari would be a constant source of love and encouragement, offering his heart and his unwavering support to you as you worked to regain your strength and your health.
If Tonowari saw you waking up from a coma after being severely injured, he would be overcome with a wave of profound relief and gratitude. He knelt by your side, tenderly taking your hand and gazing into your eyes, recognizing the disorientation and confusion that often accompanies such a miraculous moment. With all the patience and understanding that love could offer, Tonowari would be attuned to your every need, providing you with comfort and support as you would adjust to the world around you. With his steady, calming presence, he would be a beacon of hope and security, inspiring you to stay focused on your healing process. As a Na'vi, Tonowari would be intimately connected to the natural world, and he would share this connection with you. He may take you on walks, showing you the splendor of the planet and teaching you the healing power of nature. Together, you would marvel at the wonders of the forest, breathing in the sweet scent of the flora and listening to the music of the fauna.
The morning light shone gently through the leaves of the nearby trees, casting dappled patterns of light and shadow on the ground. Tonowari sat at the side of your bed, his eyes fixed intently on you as you began to stir. You had been in a coma for many weeks, and Tonowari had been by your side every day, never losing hope that you would one day wake up.
As you slowly opened your eyes, Tonowari's heart swelled with relief and gratitude. He reached out to take your hand, squeezing it gently as you blinked and looked around the room, still disoriented from your long slumber.
"Welcome back, my love," he said, his voice soft and tender. "You've been sleeping for so long, but now you're here with me again."
You looked up at him, your eyes wide with confusion and fear.
"What happened?" you asked, your voice barely more than a whisper.
Tonowari's expression softened even further, and he leaned in closer, his gaze never leaving yours.
"You were injured, my love," he said. "But you are safe now. You have been sleeping, healing, and dreaming."
He stroked your hair gently, his fingers tracing the delicate curve of your ear. "Do you feel any pain?" he asked, his voice full of concern.
You shook your head slowly, a faint smile appearing on your lips.
"No, I feel… I feel okay," you said, your voice growing stronger with each passing moment.
Tonowari smiled in return, his heart full of joy and relief. "That is good, my love," he said. "I will take care of you, always. You will never have to face anything alone."
He leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on your forehead, his lips lingering there for a moment before he pulled back, his eyes still fixed on yours.
He would be torn between conflicting emotions, his heart both full of hope and heavy with the weight of responsibility.
If Tsu’tey saw you waking up from a coma after being severely injured, his heart would swell with a surge of relief and joy. The gentle rise and fall of your chest, the soft tremble of your fingers, all signs that you had finally emerged from the darkness that had consumed you for so long. But as much as he would feel an overwhelming sense of love and devotion towards you, he could not help but feel a seething anger within him, a deep-seated frustration at the circumstances that had led to your injuries and forced you into this state of helpless vulnerability. His desire to protect and care for you, to keep you close by his side and ensure that you received the best possible treatment and support during your recovery, was matched only by his need to seek justice and vengeance against those who had caused you harm. He would remain steadfast in his love and commitment to you, willing to do whatever it took to see you through this difficult journey toward healing.
Tsu’tey had kept a constant vigil at your bedside, his heart heavy with worry and fear. He had watched your breathing, each rise and fall a reminder of the fragility of life. But now, as you stirred and opened your eyes, a ray of hope illuminated his spirit.
The gentle flutter of your eyelashes, the soft curve of your lips, and the twitch of your fingers filled his heart with an indescribable joy. A deep sense of relief washed over him, and he could not hold back the tears that streamed down his cheeks.
"My love," he whispered, taking your hand in his. "You're awake."
He watched as your eyes flickered with recognition, and he knew that you could feel the love and relief pouring out of him. You tried to speak, but your voice was barely a whisper. Tsu'tey leaned in close, his ear close to your lips, eager to hear your words.
"Thank you," you whispered, the effort to speak evidently in your voice.
Tsu’tey could not help but feel a sense of anger and frustration at the thought of what had happened to you. He vowed to himself to do everything in his power to protect you from harm and seek justice for the wrongs that had been done to you.
But for now, he pushed those thoughts aside, focusing solely on the present moment, reveling in the fact that his love had returned to him. He held your hand tightly, offering words of comfort and encouragement as you began your journey to recovery.
The next night, he left early to get there before her. To give her a gift the same way she gifted him the fruit. He placed the bracelet made by Neytiri; he tried to do it himself, but it was getting to the point that Neytiri started to pity him and his lack of artisan skills. Kiri also absolutely insisted that he bring what she had made. Although it was apparent a child made it, it was the fact that she understood he was giving gifts to this mysterious girl, and she wanted to as well. In hopes she will become friends with Kiri.
Carefully he places the toy and bracelet on the ground and proceeds to do exactly what she had done before and hide in the high ground.
He sits and waits patiently for her. Ears twitching at each noise and tail flicking languidly behind him, he crouches and watches patiently. The roles have been reversed.
Finally, he hears the familiar rustles of the leaves, and his ears perk up in excitement.
The girl looks at the clearing in confusion; something is already there. She brought fruit again, but it didn’t seem as important as what was before her. Looking around her, she noticed the night air seemed a little calmer. Creatures in the trees above, sleeping peacefully, knowing the Great Mother would care for them. The bugs seemed to have left her alone, not bothering her tail or ears. Even the leaves appeared to not graze harshly against her this time. Instead, caressing her arms like a mother coaxing a child from behind her.
With this newfound courage, she ventures forward into the small clearing. She crouched and put one leg in front of the other, hands keeping her balanced as she slowly moved toward the objects. The ground lit up ever so slightly with her careful steps.
The foreign yet familiar objects gave her a sense of ease. A doll that resembled the great sky beast sat neatly on the ground. Layed next to it is a bracelet made with many stones that remind her of a more peaceful time.
As she got closer, it felt like she couldn’t take her eyes off the bracelet. A magnetic warmth pulled her in to shield her from the cold night. It reminded her of someone she doesn’t remember, only knowing she is missing something. That there is a hole in her chest that was once full. She is unsure what it was full of; she only knows it was where she felt the most comfort. Without it, she feels empty and alone from what she lost. Sure, her protector gives her comfort, but it is not the same. She isn’t sure what it would be, but she knows it is gone.
She is crouched before the items, her tail curled protectively around her, and she caresses the bracelet, almost afraid to grab it if it breaks. Oh, how she longs for what she misses. She craves for the hole in her chest to be poured with something familiar and warm.
She gently grabs the bracelet, gazing at each bead and braid with longing.
At that moment, everything was still. The jungle, the sky, the wind, even his heart when he hears her soft sobs. The child was clinging onto the bracelet and the necklace that had sat on her neck since they met, which seemed to fit an adult much better. Silently he watched as she cried, seemingly unaware of her tears as she kept petting the bracelet and rubbing it against her cheek.
She then turns to caress the toy, using one hand to keep the bracelet against her cheek while the other inspects the small sky beast. She is confused as to why there is a wooden figure resembling the sky beast. What use is there for one – oh.
Using the same movement she used while picking it up, the wings flexed as if the toy were alive. Again, she moves the toy up and down but with less hesitancy. She doesn’t understand why but finds great joy in watching the wings move.
She giggles, and Jake swears he has never heard a more pure, innocent sound. He sits there, stunned and a little emotional. Seeing her go from crying to laughing, jostling the toy around. Essentially playing. He didn't think it would be possible so soon, but it is obvious from this display that she didn't spend her whole life in the jungle. She had a home somewhere; where she made emotional connections. It makes him unbearably sad for the girl.
Without thinking, he jumps down from the tree, and the child silences herself, immediately grabbing her knife and crouching over the items. She growls at the unknown predator, eyes wide and pupils into a pinpoint. Her ears are pinned back, and her tail whips wildly behind her. She tries to locate the predator, trying to seem intimidating, silently hoping it would disappear.
Jake takes his chances at seeing this display from behind the foliage. Slowly he steps forward, moving with his hands raised. Once she sees him, he watches as her entire body relaxes. Her ears perk up, pupils grow wide, and she tilts her head to the side. They both stay there for a moment, just watching each other. Jake doesn't dare take another step forward for fear of her running away. Instead, he slowly sits down crisscrossed and places his hands in his lap while waiting for her decision.

✿ After nearly a month and a half of being a hostage for Quaritch and his team, the anger of being captured and taken from the people you’d come to love and live with began to dissipate. Don’t get me wrong, it was still there, but the feeling of anger and always fighting back was exhausting, so slowly but surely, you were coming to terms with your predicament.
✿ However when Quaritch told you Jake and his family, your family, fled to the islands, that anger returned, and there was a good week where you didn’t eat, yelled, and threw fits when Quaritch demanded his usual lessons on ‘All things Na'vi.’
✿ That was when Spider would step in and take over lessons for the day, knowing that giving you time and space was the best thing for you now. He knew you were hurt—not just angry; he was too, but you had a long history with Jake and Neytri, and this felt like a bigger betrayal to you.
✿ Quaritch could sense this too; even though it was pissing him off and stupid to him, he could see where you were coming from and tried not to bother you until he deemed it necessary. When the hissy fit of yours hit for seven days, he was over it and knew he needed to get you over it too.
✿ So he took you out—no guards, no other squad members, and surprisingly, no spider. He had offered, but Spider decided against it, instead choosing to stick with the science geeks. He warned you with the usual threats, warning you not to run, attack, or do anything else stupid that would leave him pissed and you in a shittier mood for even longer.
✿ The second you hit the forest line, you ran. You can run so fucking fast that you didn’t bother to wonder if Quaritch was following you. You weren’t running away; you couldn’t. You couldn’t leave Spider, and you knew you wouldn’t be able to get away; they would find you, and if they didn’t capture you back up again, they would only follow you to see if you would lead them to the village to use against Jake, even though they couldn’t even find him now.
✿ You ran fast, but Quaritch was faster; it wasn’t long before you heard his thundering footsteps and loud curses, calling out to you to stop now or your punishment will be worse. You didn’t listen; you were only ducking under branches and roots and running through creeks and ponds. Quaritch didn’t realize you weren’t running away until he saw you turn your head and smirk at him. He could see the humor in your eyes from here.
✿ He was so captivated by that look in your eyes that he almost ran into you when he realized you had stopped. You took a deep breath and sat down on your knees, taking a few more breaths before leaning forward and laying your arms out and your face in the grass. He didn’t know what you were doing, but he let you; he watched you and waited.
✿ When you picked him up, he heard a sniffle, his ears twitching at the sound, and he immediately hated it. When you turned to look at him, two stray tears slowly fell from your cheeks. You motioned him forward, guiding him to sit just as you were.
✿ "You want your lesson for today?" Your voice is a bit more hoarse from no use, and when it was used, it was usually just yelling as of late.
✿ "I wouldn’t mind having my favorite teacher for today." He joked—well, you thought it was a joke, but in truth, he was being honest. You corrected him in ways he would remember, usually by smacking him on the side of his head or pulling his tail, but it worked. Lessons with Spider didn’t usually stick with Quaritch; Spider wouldn’t dare hit him like that; rather, he would reply with smart remarks that turned into arguments.
✿ "Take your shoes off." He gave you a weird look before shaking his head.
✿ "No. The kid tried that, no." He shook his head, his lips pinched in disapproval. You rolled your eyes, wiping your cheeks, and gave him a no-nonsense look.
✿ "Do you want your lesson?" His lips frowned into a thin line, staring at you hard before grumbling and turning away to shuck off his shoes. All while he mumbled how ‘stupid’ it all was.
✿ Finally, he stood barefoot on the grass beside where you sat.
✿ "What do you feel?" You asked, looking up at him questioningly. You had your thoughts and opinions on the workings of these new recumbents; they had to have just as much of a connection to Eywa as yours and Jake's hybrid bodies did.
✿ "What do I feel? I don’t feel anything. What, you mean the ground?" He stepped around, looking for something to feel, but still felt nothing other than the soft, dewy grass beneath his feet.
✿ You stood up, grabbing his forearms on top and guiding his hands to hold your forearms as well. He stood watching you quietly before you looked up at him and demanded he close his eyes. He did, not even thinking twice before obeying your order. Something about that bugged him, but he continued to follow it.
✿ "Take a deep breath." He took a weak breath in and out, hoping that would appease her, but the quick kick to his shin let him know it wasn’t, so he took a deep breath in, and the tension in his back and shoulders he was trying to keep to stay alert fell away in one, two, or three breaths. That was when he felt it.
✿A buzz underneath his feet, not like a vibration or movement, just the hum of life underneath his feet. He began to step around, thinking, ‘Did you just make me step on a toxic plant?’ He was immediately suspicious of the feeling beneath him that slowly began to course up his legs.
✿ "What do you feel?" you emphasized. That was when he opened his eyes, finding yours staring up at him with emotions that made him fall silent. There was hope in those eyes—not one he had ever seen before during your stay here. Miles had seen your eyes, angry, sad, and even a little happy, but this hope was different than your hope to escape. So he replied.
✿ I don’t feel nothing, nothin’." He felt your fingers push harder on his pulse, but he was smarter than that and, of course, older than that. This body may be young, but he is still the man he once was. That hope of yours was dashed; your eyes narrowed, and you let go of his arms, stepping away from him. He almost missed you, but he too stood back, going to put his shoes back on.
✿ "No, come on." You turned and started walking away without hesitance; he looked back.
✿ "Where are you going?" He leaned down and grabbed his boots, ready to catch up with you when you broke out into a sprint again. He had no choice but to drop the shoes if he really wanted to catch up with you; running barefoot around here was going to have to make him focus more, and he hates to admit it, but you are faster than you look.
✿ So they were gone, and he was trying not to step on anything sharp, poisonous, or anything else above that could render him in any shape or form. As much as he wanted to, he couldn’t trust you.
✿ When you finally stopped and waited for him, it made him grind his teeth as he jogged up to your smug smile, barely even breathless while he took a second to gather himself. "Just what the hell is this?" He waved to the bush you stood in front of. A smug smile fell from your face as you rolled your eyes and turned around, facing the bush and pulling down its leaves to reveal a tranquil, illuminated sight.
✿ "Vitraya Ramunong," you said, stepping through the bush that seemed to move around you to let you through, and the bush held open waiting for him to pass as well. As we walked through, I felt it close behind him, closing in on him until he was out on the other side. ‘The Tree of Souls,’ he thought to himself.
✿ He had never seen them before—not in person anyway. It was a sight; he felt his eyes grow wider as he looked on. He never realized how translucent the branches were; he could almost see the works of the tree as they circulated like veins. As he stood in awe of one of the smaller trees, you stood by and watched him.
✿You knew he was lying; he had to be; even Eywa recognized him. ‘Eywa,’ you thought to yourself, questioning this sign and its meaning. When you zoned back into the moment and Quaritch still stood in awe of the tree, you hesitantly reached out and grabbed his hand.
✿ His attention pulled away from the trees, and he looked down at your conjoined hands before meeting your eyes. He even went to pull away his hand, but you held on. "Come." You pulled him deeper into the glowing forest, bringing him to what appeared to be a sapling compared to the other illusive trees. You sat down in front of it, once again bowing and pushing your arms out, except this time you kissed the ground, whispering something in Na'vi tongue, before looking back up at Quaritch.
✿ "I want to show you something." You grabbed your queue, bringing it over your shoulder, and opened it up before him. He had looked at himself a lot when he first woke up, but nonetheless, the sight of a queue unfolding was still incredible, and when you held out your hand, he was weary of your future intentions.
✿ "Now hold up, sweetheart. I like you and all, but I know how this goes, so I appreciate the offer and all-" Your offered hand moved quickly and slapped his shoulder hard, leaving a reverberating sting, and before he could react, you slapped him again in the same spot. "What the hell was that for?" Grabbing your hand in case you intended to strike again
✿ "That is not what I meant! I want to show you a memory!" You held out your hand again, and he stared at it for a few seconds before gilding his hand down his queue. He hesitated before setting it in her hand, staring at your palm, but he handed it to you gently.
✿ He watched as you held it, the queue unfolding, before you guided it to a branch and attached it slowly. It wasn’t long before you laid yours down as well, covering the very top of his.
✿ "Take a deep breath." You said that, and Miles complied, taking a deep breath, but when he opened his eyes again, he almost freaked out.
✿ A different environment surrounded him; the soul trees that once surrounded him were gone, replaced with a meadow with tall flowers and giant leafy plants that hung over his head. He looked around, searching for you, and found you behind him.
✿ "Where are we? What happened?" He walked towards you, but you only held your finger up to your lips and hushed him, turning around and walking a few steps forward.
✿ "Mom?" A young voice called out, searching through the plants before stumbling out and finding you. A little boy, his face lighting up at the sight of you, bolted towards a giant smiling and pulling at his lips.
✿ "Mom!" He jumped, and you grabbed him, swinging around and throwing him up in the air a bit before catching him and putting him down. "What are you doing, my little spider?" You spoke, leaning down to look at his hands, which held different assorted flowers in them.
✿ "I think I have all the flowers I want." He held them up to show you, explaining why he had chosen them. Miles watched, numb with shock and almost not believing the sight in front of him. ‘This is a memory," he whispered to himself, looking on and observing the interaction between you two.
✿ You stood and grabbed his hand; he led you forward, and Miles followed shortly behind the both of you. He realized now that Spider couldn’t see him; after all, it was a memory, your memory. He wondered what other memories you could show him.
✿ Spider stopped in front of a tall and rigid tree, where a big rock with moss growing all over it stood, a single pink flower growing at the very top edge. He crouched down and set the small bouquet he had gathered on the rock.
✿ "Is it okay to miss her? Even though I never met her, mom?" You smiled softly, reaching your hands out and fussing with his locks, laying them nicely and pushing down flyaways. "Of course it’s okay; she is who made you, carried you, and brought you into this world lovingly. Never forget her, my little spider; without her, you would cease to exist." You rubbed his cheek softly, patting it softly before pulling away.
✿ Spider looked at the rock and sat in silence for a second before turning back to you. "What about my dad?" You looked at his small face, turmoil turning in his eyes, searching for the answers he hoped you would have. You took a deep breath and looked up at the sky, watching birds fly to other trees and creatures swing from their branches, thinking of the words to say.
✿ You didn’t know the relationship Quaritch had with his newborn son before he died, but what you did know is that Petra would talk about his visits with him, and while he sounded distant, he nonetheless cared for the boy. "Without him, you also wouldn’t exist, my little bug; he may have done some wrong, some things even I don’t know about, but he loved you, and that deserves remembrance." Spider nodded his head and turned back to the rock. He took a few steps toward it before pulling something from his belt. He revealed an old tooth, specifically a front one from a Thanator.
✿ "Where did you get that little bug?" You asked, watching as he set the tooth on top of the rock. He sat there and looked at it for a bit before answering.
✿ "I found it while playing with Kiri; she fell and hurt herself, and when I helped her up, I saw it. I thought maybe..." Spider didn’t continue, but you knew what he meant. He wanted somewhere to pay his respects not just to his mother but to his father as well. Spider didn’t know the full story as he was still young; however, he did know enough to think that his father was the best of men in the eyes of Na’vi, and with your approval, he felt better about missing the absent figure in his life.
✿ Spider looked a little longer before slowly turning around and walking back to you. He sat down and rested against your chest as you wrapped your arms around him, holding him and rocking him slowly, humming an old song from when you were younger back on earth.
✿ "Oél ngáti kámeie, Mom." You leaned down and gave Spider a soft peck on the forehead before replying,
✿ "Oél ngáti kámeie, my little spider." Things around Quaritch slowly started to shimmer and disappear in a white light before the light completely engulfed Quaritch and caused his vision to become blank.

❀ A/n - I hoped you guys all enjoyed this little comeback, please remeber to like or comment or even request your own scenario. Thank you for reading! 🫶
first thing that popped into my head was Quaritch putting his jacket around spider as soon as they got into the ship.
since quaritch would be like totally evil, what do you think would happen to the metkayina villages? Just an absolute bloodbath where spider can’t do anything but watch. I imagine him running in trying to stop the fight. But Quaritch grabs him before he can do anything. Poor boy 😭😭
(previous ask) - Instead of opening the door to redemption, Quaritch turns even more evil at the realisation that Spider is his son. He believes that he is justified and righteous in his pursuit of Jake Sully, doing it all to build a better life for his child.
Okay so, headcanons! Plz ignore how the tense jumps all OVER the place in this 💀
when Spider is abducted into the ship, Quaritch straight away dumps him on a bench in the cargo hold, but Spider scampers to get away, still half out of it from his fall
"Relax tough guy, I ain't gonna hurt you."
Spider is shivering and cold from the wet mud that still covers his body, so Quaritch pulls his jacket out and offers it to the kid
Spider considers it for a moment, before, "Go screw yourself."
Quaritch is disappointed but when he notices Spider 's face bleeding, he still comes over to remove the mask
Spider hisses but allows it when he realises what's going on
Quaritch demands he's taken straight to the med bay when they return to Bridgehead, dabbing the bleeding with a sleeve of his jacket
This is the perfect opportunity for Quaritch to try and express his honest feelings. He reassures Spider that he's safe and that he's not going to hurt him. He wants to tell him how fiercely he's gonna fight for Spider, but that's too much too soon, so he doesn't
Spider is obstinate throughout this little speech, but Quaritch doesn't let it get to him
the rest of the movie scenes happen pretty much the same as canon. Quaritch is still trying to somewhat hide how passionate he's become about the war. He knows he'll lose Spider if he lets it show too much. So he puts up a good front.
One night around the fire: "What are you gonna do when Jake Sully is dead?" Spider asks mutinously
Quaritch is surprised at the boldness of the question, but glad that Spider seems accepting that the squad will be successful
"Keep fighting this war," Quaritch replies. "It's not gonna end. We'll always need a security force on Pandora."
"So you're just gonna keep killing Na'vi for the rest of your life?" Spider scoffs. "Got it."
Quaritch is a little perturbed by Spider's reaction - when put plainly like that it makes him feel that maybe he'd made some sort of mistake
He shakes it off though, remembering that even if Spider didn't want it, it didn't matter. It was Quaritch's job to provide for him.
When they get to the village raids, Quaritch brings Spider along like in the movie
He gets spider to translate, but when Spider refuses to give the Ta'unui Quaritch's ultimatum, Quaritch simply speaks it into a translation tablet, and the message is understood clearly.
Spider goes beserk, snatching the tablet and throwing it into the ocean before lunging for Wainfleet's rifle (still pointed at the Tsahik)
Wainfleet pushes Spider off easily before Quaritch snatches the kid up. He tosses him to Prager but Spider is still pleading at the Na'vi, since he now knows that debating with the recom squad is pointless.
"If you know where Toruk Makto is, tell them! They'll kill you! They'll kill everyone!"
"We don't know!" cried the Olo'eyktan.
"Please, tell them-" the Tsahik's cries were cut off mid sentence by a close range shot. Her head was now lifeless - an empty skull.
Spider screamed. Quaritch turned his attention to the Olo'eyktan. But he'd ruined his chance at getting information from this clan. The leader was beyond reasoning as his wife lay dead on the sand beside him, murdered in front of the whole clan.
"Where is Toruk Makto?" Quaritch asked in a calm voice.
"Shoot me," the Olo'eyktan replied. It wasn't worth carrying on without her.
Quaritch gestured to Spider to translate. Spider sobbed.
Zdog had recorded the Olo'eyktan's words anyway, and when Spider refused to speak, she played the translation back over the tablet.
Quaritch and the squad are disappointed at the lack of information - it's clear no one in this village knows anything
Quaritch rolls his eyes before shooting the Olo'eyktan as well, granting him his wish.
Spider breaks free of Prager's hold through sheer will power and runs. He's never run faster in his life. He makes it only a short distance before someone from the recom squad grabs him again.
His hands are bound but he keeps screaming at them, until eventually Ja can get something out of the medkit that will put Spider out
Spider wakes up back on the ship, locked in a guest room. Quaritch leaves him there for the rest of the day and into the next one, sending Fike or Ja or Zdog to deliver meals.
Quaritch is in a tough situation because now he's pushed spider too far. Spider hates him. But he knows the duties of a father. It was to protect, not to be liked. So he remains righteous, concealing from Ardmore how their relationship has broken down.
He can't send Spider back to bridgehead in this psychological state because he knows Spider will be tortured again. In Ardmore's eyes the kid is a prisoner of war after all
So he's kept in limbo for a few days while Quaritch figures out what to do with him
eventually he goes in to talk to spider
Spider nearly claws his eyes out when he enters, but Quaritch is prepared for this
Once he's put cuffs back on Spider and Spider is finally sitting without attacking him, he begins trying to explain
"Kid. I know you hate me. But you're stuck with me. I send you back? Your brain will be melted by this time next week."
"Then let me go," Spider suggests
Quaritch sighs sadly. "I can't do that either. That's no life for you, son. I'd rather have you here against your will, but safe, than out there living like an animal. Like it or not I'm your dad. You may not realise it, but everything I've done since getting you back has been for you. It will always be for you."
"You're insane."
"I don't think so."
"Where does this leave us then? Me locked up like a prisoner for the rest of my life?"
"That's up to you. It don't have to be this way, kid. You're mad right now, but if you can learn to get over that, then I can give you so much."
"Pass."
Eventually, Quaritch talks Spider round to seeing that he really doesn't have much of a choice. If he's gonna act like a prisoner, he'll be treated like one. If he can be cool, then life could improve.
Quaritch finally lets Spider out of the room. He doesn't let Spider out onto deck at first, keeping him well within the confines of the airlocks. ("So you can throw yourself overboard? I don't think so!")
But finally he relents after a few days of monitoring Spider's mood and the boy spends most of his time roaming around the outside of the ship, alone
a few weeks pass and we get to the battle of the three brothers rocks.
when Quaritch sees Sully's kids in the water, he makes sure spider is properly detained downstairs in the belly of the ship
Spider isn't able to crash the sea dragon but Lo'ak and Neteyam are still able to come back for him
they finally find spider and manage to escape, no one gets shot! they race back to reunite with their parents. But wait! Quaritch has Kiri and Tuk tied up on the middle deck!
This time, when Quaritch contacts Jake over the communicator, it goes a little differently
"Can you hear me Corporal? I think you can. I have your girls. I need one simple thing from you in order for you to get them back. Bring me Spider. The two of you, alone. I get the kid, you get your girls. Nice and simple."
Jake looks at spider, who's busy celebrating his escape with Lo'ak and Neteyam. Spider catches him staring
The family turns, realises something is wrong. Jake has to make a decision. "Quaritch has Kiri and Tuk," he whispers.
Neytiri gasps, clasping Jake's arm for support. "We ride!" She cries. "Call your tsurak".
Jake pulls her away from the kids. He tells her in a hushed voice what Quaritch has demanded. He doesn't mention the part where he's sure he'll be made to surrender first as well.
Neytiri considers it as best she can in her panicked state. She nods, silently confirming what they know they must do.
Jake gets Spider to show him the way to the middle deck, hating himself for tricking the boy. He doesn't tell Spider to hang back. He brings him with him all the way to meet the snarling Quaritch, knife to Kiri's throat.
"Don't move! Not a step!" Quaritch throws a pair of orange cuffs over to them. "Spider, come behind me and cuff yourself to the rail."
Spider is dumfounded. He can't think.
"Do it! Now!" Quaritch presses the knife closer to Kiri's throat.
Jake reaches forward and picks up the cuffs, holding them out to Spider with a pleading expression on his sorrow filled face.
Obviously Spider takes them - Quaritch is about to kill Kiri. He would do it. Spider knows he would. He's seen the thirst for blood that runs in his father's genes.
"Come here, Spider."
"Please," Spider tries.
"Spider, don't!" Kiri yells, but winces when the knife presses closer.
"Fine! I'll come! Just don't hurt her, please!"
Spider edges his way closer, and when he's all the way behind Quaritch, he pauses before incapacitating himself.
"Do it!" Quaritch shouts.
Of course, Spider does.
Jake speaks. "Let her go now, Quaritch. She's done nothing to you."
Quaritch was shaking his head. "You didn't really think it would be that easy did you? Now it's your turn." He threw another set of cuffs at Jake.
"No!" Kiri and Spider yelled in unison. "Don't do it dad!" Kiri wailed. "Just kill him!"
"You son of a..." Jake starts, but is silenced by another sharp press of the knife to Kiri's throat.
At that moment, the noise of ululating signals the arrival of a troop of Metkayina warriors, regrouped from the main attack, accompanied by Neytiri in the sky. An arrow soars through the space next to Quaritch's head, and the man panics, making the decision to ditch his insurance and make a break for it with Spider.
The recom squad emerge in perfect timing and a second battle begins. It looks like the Metkayina are winning, and Neteyam arrives to once more rescue Spider, cutting his binds to the rail. Spider and Neteyam regroup with Kiri, who is huddled under a fallen piece of scaffolding. Neteyam pulls them away from the battle and into the water, where Lo'ak is waiting on an ilu
They speed away, leaving their parents in the midst of battle but thankful enough for now, that they all made it out alive.
Neteyam was the Omatikaya heartthrob. It makes sense because he's 1. Olo’eyktan’s baddie son 2. Extremely accomplished 3. Good looking but his human DNA still shows so he’s kind of like that hot guy that’s a little ugly but in the way where a guy has to be a little ugly to be truly hot. Neteyam’s face is Na’vi enough though so bro is chillin. That scene where the Sullys leave the forest? Neteyam actually looked back to get one last look at the fuzz (forest fangirl huzz)
Lo’ak had a crush on a girl who was really friendly to him despite the fact that a lot of the Omatikaya kids avoided him. Lo’ak swore he’d marry this random girl until she asked if Lo’ak thought Neteyam would be interested in her. Lo’ak went through a “fuck love” phase because of this.
Which makes the “I See you” Tsireya/Lo’ak scene sweeter imo because Lo'ak met someone who for the first time gave him attention and didn’t make him feel like he was unlovable. I LOVE THESE TWO!!
Neteyam suffered an ego blow in Awa’atlu not just because he went from hero to zero, but because the ruzz (reef huzz) didn’t find him that attractive like the fuzz (forest huzz) did. Lo’ak thought it was hilarious.
Tsireya is a daddy’s girl. Tonowari stay letting her do whataver she wants. When she was small she’d braid his hair like all the time and if Tonowari tried to take it out, Tsireya would start crying so Tonowari was just wearing these chopped ass braids to council meetings.
Ao’nung is tone deaf. IDK why this just makes sense. He also went through a phase where he thought he was too good for dancing and Ronal beat his ass for it.
Even though Kiri hated Ronal for the whole “these children are not even real Na’vi” scene, I think she grew to like her after Ronal brought her out of her coma or wtv. Kiri learned a lot from Mo’at but there were many different Reef healing techniques and prayers that Kiri learned from Ronal. Neytiri was pissed btw because she stay hating on Ronal and her big naturals.
I only ship Aonunete as a crack ship (no hate btw so chill out) but as a joke it’d be funny if Neteyam tried to look good for the ruzz (reef huzz) but the only person he could pull was fucking Ao’nung te Tsika'u Tonowari'itan. Ik Neteyam was mad af
Kiri and Tuk have this unspoken alliance as sisters. I like to think Kiri gets Tuk out of trouble with their parents and in exchange Tuk does Kiri’s evil bidding like biting Lo’ak’s tail when he’s sleeping or wiping her boogers on Neteyam’s leg.
Neteyam likes his hygiene so Tuk can actually scare him and chase him around with her fucking boogers on her fingers. That’s like the one thing he’ll start yelling at her for. One time Tuk wiped her snot on his arm and then Jake told him to go on a patrol and he started legitimately screaming and crying like this:
Ao’nung was kind of mad Lo’ak bonded with Payakan because Ao’nung wanted the bad boy clout of bonding with the outcast.
Tsireya is a picky eater and the few times she slept over a friend’s marui she faked being sick so she didn’t have to eat dinner with the other family.
