Autumn from Roadside View by Mark Stevens

Autumn from Roadside View I wonder how many people look at life as a confusing patchwork of emotions and encounters? Some days life can be filled with happiness, joy, and buttercream frosting cakes While other days you wanna scream at the top of your lungs at the madness or inflicted upon you or others! But there are days when you melt in with another you love and the whole world floats on by I’ve stared at clouds and let my imagination run wild picturing any number of creatures and shapes Autumn Leaves A straight road ahead Wonders await Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one afternoon at a roadside pullout along WIS 77 (Highway 77) in Wisconsin with a view extending to the north. A friend and I were headed to Copper Falls State Park when we noted many signs of Autumn colors in the leaves present. This was one location where the tree leaves seemed to provide that perfect setting for the path ahead with autumn colors in the leaves on both sides. The rest of the image composition was getting low on the road and aligning myself to center it between the trees. It was as I began working on the image in post-production that I then decided to once again try out the sky replacement setting in Photoshop with this image. The blue skies with clouds definitely seemed appropriate as a backdrop for this setting, rather than the overcast skies. So the skies are part of an image I captured several years back in west Texas with an old Nikon camera but all else is captured with my Nikon Z8 Mirrorless Camera. I later worked with control points in DxO PhotoLab 9 and then made some adjustments to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.
