Midnight! A new year started!
Everyone fell into each other's arms. Couples kissed, as a custom of another good year as a couple.
Daehyun turned around and watched his lover next to him, watching the lights on the sky. Then he himself grabbed his face softly and pressed their lips together. They were soft, while his are scraped.
His lover totally didn't expect this. But he did not stop him too.
Youngjae blushed. He still does as Daehyun parted their lips and engulfed him into a hug.
"Happy New Year!"
Youngjae somewhat stamered something about him having a happy new year too before he looked away, blushing even more.
He was ok with Daehyun showing so much affection towards him, he didn´t care that no one knew about their relationship for about half a year.
But somehow he did care ...
Still it was their first time kissing. At least in public.
Youngjae watched the sky. The firework that bursted into the sky on and on into diffetent colours before it slowly faded into the darkness. He felt his blush slow fading from his cheeks.
Dahyun grabbed his hand and turned to watch the sky too.
What beautiful colours. Hopefully a great new year with his awesome lover. He loved him so much ...
´´Hey you two come over here!´´
Surprised they both turned around. Both their hyungs, Jongup and Junhong beckoned them over.
Daehyun smiled at Youngjae.
Whatever their bandmates knew, he definitely didn´t care.

You were deep in concentration at your desk writing an article for the next issue, your brain completely focused on urging your readers to be creative with spices.
And then, all of a sudden, you heard an all too familiar voice: “Y/N, can you go pick up lunch? Thanks.”
You jumped in your chair, swiveling around to see your boss, Jung Daehyun, walking away from your desk. He hadn’t even given you a chance to refuse because you were busy! But then... did he ever?
For some reason, you had become the Lunch Person. Daehyun always made you go get it, no matter what you were working on, no matter which day of the week, no matter anything or anyone or anyhow or anywhere!
And, frankly, you were sick of it.
You let out a huff, locking your computer and marching after him. He’d gone into his office, so you courtesy knocked before barging in and crossing your arms over your chest.
“What is it, Y/N?” Daehyun asked, not even looking up from his screen. “It’s Wednesday, so lunch is from Corner Cafe today.”
“I know that,” you snapped. “But why do I always have to go get it? I’m one of the senior writers, I’m not some secretary or gopher or whatever. I’ve worked here for five years. I shouldn’t have to be getting lunch all the time!”
Daehyun shifted his gaze the second he heard your annoyed tone, his brow furrowing in confusion.
“You think... I make you get lunch because I think of you as a secretary?” he asked, his tone rife with bewilderment.
“...Well, yeah. Picking up food requires no brain power, no skill. It’s what the newbies do.”
A soft chuckle escaped Daehyun’s lips. He stood from his desk, silently walked to his door, and closed it.
“Y/N,” he began, putting his hands on your shoulders and turning you to face him. “I apologize for making you feel lowly. That was not my intention at all. I truly value your skill and your work ethic. To be honest, you’re my favorite employee. And that’s exactly why I ask you to pick up lunch all the time.”
You stared at him, open-mouthed, wide-eyed. “Wh--”
“I don’t want to put that kind of responsibility on anyone else’s shoulders. I don’t trust anyone else. Lunch... is very important to me,” he admitted.
“Well, I mean, yeah, you like food --”
“And if I don’t have a good lunch, my day is ruined. Not to be dramatic, but it’s true. And if you’re picking it up, I know I’ll have a good lunch.”
“...Are you serious?”
“Yes, I’m quite serious,” he smirked. “Please don’t misunderstand.”
He took your hand in both of his, clasping it tightly and gazing at you earnestly.
“You are the only person in this office I trust with my food.”
And, suddenly, you realized just how great of an honor this was. You hadn’t quite understood just how much your boss loved lunch. So you simply nodded.
“Okay,” you said softly. “I won’t let you down.”
“Corner Cafe. Roast beef sandwich on pretzel bread with no onion.”
“Yes, sir.”
And, so, you were off to fulfill your duty for the day, your head held high as a smug smirk pulled at the corner of your lips.
