jinu's as annoying as he is kind. he teaches him the ropes of being a reaper, is patient with his tantrums, his outbursts, his anger. sometimes just to piss him off, jinu pinches his cheeks, and with a laugh as baby screeches at him for it, he says "you really are too cute to be a demon"
jinu always seemed to have a special kind of power used to irritate him, but now, baby wishes he was still here for him to yell at
then one day he sees rumi all alone, and red is all he sees. he stalks her through, follows her steps, still calculated about his every move despite it all. and when he goes for the attack rumi stares at him wide-eyed recognizing him as baby saja, hesitant to kill him with her sword
he doesn't know what comes over him, but tears well up in his eyes, teeth bared in a snarl while he chokes out, "you killed my hyung."
