Limb Difference!Jinu Headcanons

*Jinu's missing leg is a congenital defect. Let's be real that'd be statistically the only way Jinu would be alive with a missing limp as 400 years ago most people died from infection or shock following amputation procedures. Not saying it would have been impossible. His chances would have been 50/50. But in this case, he was born missing a leg.

*Korea didnt start mass producing false limbs until the 1950s. With Jinu being approx. 424 years old, he would have been born around 1601 meaning he got really good at walking with just a crutch because he had been doing that for most of his life. And even then, Gwi-Ma probably wouldn't have allowed him to have one until Jinu reasoned with him while proposing the boy band plan. After all, in his research he had not seen an idol with his limb difference.

*It took Jinu a while to adjust to the fake leg. I mean Jinu had never walked on two legs before. Ever. So his centre of balance was off. The other boys had to help him stay upright for a while and help him relearn how to walk.

*The leg he was given for the boy band plan was state of the art, once he got the hang of it (which took longer than he cared to admit) he quite liked the freedom and independence of having it.

*When it comes to whether or not Huntrix could tell he had a false leg or not, it depends.

*Mira could tell straight away. She's a dancer and the choreographer. Part of her job is to observe how people move and people who have fake legs walk with a very specific gait. And of course she noticed how the Saja Boy's choreo favoured one side over the other, the same side that was Jinu's real leg.

*It took Zoey a little longer to catch on. It took Mira talking about it that evening after the first street performance of Soda Pop, making a running commentary and analysis of 'Here's why I know that lead demon boy has a fake leg' for her to realize.

*Rumi, our ever oblivious queen, was the last to figure it out. She figured it out at the dual signing event when stomping on his foot hurt her more than it did him. She's still salty about that one.
