1 Peter 5:8. Be sober , be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion , seeking someone to devour.

Life is about balance.  We need to be cautious about the decisions we take and know that God will direct us even when the enemy surrounds us.

God, Family, Work all need attention and then again you are in the mix. So how do you balance it all and still be faithful?  Not easy if you try and do it yourself.  However, when you allow God to do it through you, He shows you how and when to be alert, cautious, and most importantly self-disciplined and balanced.

Proverbs 11:14. Where there is no guidance, the people fall , But in the abundance of counselors there is victory.

My life is full of great mentors.  Mentorship is part of the Balanced Life blueprint.  Without wise counsel, we can often get lost in our own minds and lose focus and direction.  That is why even senior leaders have their own board/cabinet.  Make sure you have your group of mentors and then listen to them.  God has put you around them for a reason.

Proverbs 16:9. People can plan what they want to do, but it is the Lord who guides their steps. Oh what a wonderful world this would be if we all followed God's

We cannot grow and certainly we cannot run a balanced life without the help and direction from God's Word and the constructive criticism and instruction given by those God allows to cross our path.  We have the Holy Spirit within us to confirm the authority which the advice carries when given to us.   This instruction and correction is given to us to make changes in our life so that we can achieve our divine destined plan.  When we do not listen to constructive criticism despite knowing we should, we are in direct disobedience to God's plan.  This will only mean a much longer time in the desert when you could have already arrived at your promised land.

Proverbs 10:17. He who heeds instruction and correction is in the way of life is a way of life for others. And he who neglects or refuses reproof goes astray

Part of seeing your life be in balance is to WAIT on God to show you when to move.  Sometimes we push, manipulate, and force results to happen and this only causes confusion, distress, and discouragement when we do not see the results we expected.  If we step back and let God move, then He will show us the RIGHT TIME for all things.  Read these comments and scripture that proves that we will see what He desires of our life ALL in due time.
