Finally actually watched Jacob’s vlog. Girl, so surreal. That’s my city. I completely forgot to check the SOI schedule so I messed the show. Damn, if I had been in town I would have volunteered to take the babes around to better places than the Space Needle. I’ll admit, Danny one arm lifting Ellie on the observation deck was insane. Imagine being just another tourist and seeing that shit.
But like, imaging how hard the crew experiencing the Gum Wall would have gone. The Fremont Troll. Catch a fish in Pike Place. See the Ballard Locks.
Other Seattle people, list what Seattle thing you would like to see figure skaters experience.
Took a couple of visiting friends to the Ballard Locks yesterday and there were a bunch of seals. There's usually a couple but there were like six!
Here's a short video of a couple of them in the foam from the dam:
Ballard
A minor hike because everyone had physical and mental fatigue this week. We'd walked the Locks on the north side a couple weeks back, but the south side has some cool stuff too, so we parked in Magnolia and hiked over via the pedestrian bridge in Kiwanis Memorial Preserve Park.
The Ballard Locks are closed to foot traffic but still open for boats. There was just one tug boat going through while we were there.
