Okay, I’ve been having this weird problem with my tablet for months now.
I’ve used a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet for about eight years now, and only recently has it been giving me problems. Every now and then when I’m drawing something, anything, the brush will randomly “shoot off” in a straight light of random direction and distance, as shown below in this example I quickly doodled up:
(this took me about five tries to get- it seems to happen less often when I actively try and make this occur)
As you can see at the bottom right of the zigzag, there’s a part that just juts out randomly. That was not my intentional doing- the brush did it all by itself.
Another thing that happens, albeit much, much rarely, is the brush suddenly “forgetting” the pen tablet’s sensitivity for a split second and leaving behind a big spot at max size for the current brush, as seen below:
I’m not sure what’s causing this. I’ve tried looking it up online but can’t seem to find anyone else with the same problem. I thought perhaps I was pressing a key at the same time, since I usually draw with one hand on my tablet and the other hovering over my keyboard (to press different keyboard shortcuts I have for Photoshop), but every test I try yields no results. Anyone out there have any ideas on what I should do? (note: getting a new tablet is out of the question; it works perfectly fine otherwise and while it is annoying, it doesn’t happen often enough for me to consider it a lost cause).
