Grandfleet appreciation post (Part 1)
Dressrosa on rewatch is a treat because
of course there is Law so yes i WILL be screaming
I get to appreciate the grandfleet when i only treated them as noise on my first read.
Friends, this is a post in appreciation of the unsung MVPs of Dressrosa:
1. Sai : Gave a goosebumping wedding proposal to a woman he just met, fought his granpa for her, and wiped the floor with one of her abusers. Became the admiral of his kingdom’s navy in the process.
2. Cavendish: Forced his dark half under control to save a woman he just met. Barehandedly stopped his own sword from harming her. Didn’t even think about it twice. He could have just went on and saved himself. I might start shipping them.
3. Bartolomeo my love <3 : No comment needed. He’s all of us.

4. Leo : Averted a crisis by rescuing Mansherry and being cute.

Why I like them
He has an interesting character design, and he's really hilarious. Every time he appears on screen, I know I'm in for a good time.
Why I don’t
I don't really dislike this part about him (because it's funny as hell), but how on earth does he survive at sea?!
Favorite episode (scene if movie)
I can't really remember the specific episodes that he's in, but I like the part where he refuses to let Cavendish into the barrier. He's the kind of dick who's like "if it has nothing to do with Mugiwara-senpai, then it's not my business".

Why I like them
God... He has such a deep characterization. It seems like he's more than a regular sociopath/psychopathic character, he does have feelings for his family, and it seems to run deep. The way he thinks is very interesting to figure out, and maybe even a bit alluring (?).
Why I don’t
I also like this part about him, but what really made me think he deserved to be defeated is that... He's ...evil. Every lesson that he has taken should have given him empathy, but instead he just somehow gets a twisted world view from it.
Favorite episode (scene if movie)
I have so many. I'll just go with the part where he cuts off Law's arm and then proceeds to torture Law. Mostly because I like to see Law suffer, and I like to see Doffy being a sadistic asshole.
