N/A: Ok, So, an au where Church Kurt is not happy with the Church.
The Church´s dogmas dictate that each must be ready to spill blood to their god, however, there´s nothing on the rules saying the person must consent to this act, so, Kurt Wagner a young immortal demon refuses to join the church, the institution take this as a challenge.
Nightcrawler is a warrior first and foremost, but, the man was a boy once and he was given willingly by his foster family to the Church(no love lost among them as Kurt never like the Szardos, still, being sold is never a good feeling) and the ones responsible for his well being thought Kurt would make a fine warrior.
And they are correct, however, no one questioned why a child is fighting and killing. Kurt, as an adult, is a true warrior and has yet to think something positive about this Church that does not revolve in “I´m free from the Szardos”
“Kurt?” a voice softly adds in his own solitude and Kurt stares at a woman with chestnut hair, rounded face and doe eyes. The woman has the healing uniform and judging by her confusion she must be new.
“The blood is not mine, Frau, you can go and heal the others” Kurt explained and Kitty shakes her head. “I know, I´m here to clean your …hands, blood and fur must be a tough combination”
And Kurt watches as Kitty, that´s her name, cleans his hands gently. She speaks there are no others to take care of and how this is an awful job. “I´m working for the Church…not by choice”
Kurt can understand the feeling very well. Lately, Kurt´s fame is increasing as his fights are being open to the public and many are in awe at his skills, yet, only Kitty is showing concern for him.
Cleaning his hands, taking care of his wounds and help him to realize he´s not alone is a habit that they share and Kurt can offer some protection and solidarity to Kitty, his dear Katzchen.
One day, the church´s leaders are bemused with such proximity and try to send Kitty to a suitor to make the woman complete her real mission in the Church.
“NO” Kitty speaks bravely as the guards are trying to take her away. Kitty is to be copulating, their words, with Piotr Rasputin, but, Kitty is fighting with all her soul and body and Kurt never once thought in defend himself now has all the reasons to attack the guards.
Beheading them was easy. Kitty even manages to knock one of them, however, the problem is how to escape the Church as its building is magical and has the same feeling as the current leader.
“Katzchen? Do you trust me?” Kurt asked holding her hand.
“Of course” Kitty replies and with that affirmation Kurt starts to run and both jump out the first window as their bodies vanish through the Church´s eyes leaving only the brimstone´s smoke.
They´re free on this brave new world.
