I have created this little comic for this year’s Easter event. And I thought, what if it could be extra special in the heartflower AU since Daffodils are symbolic in Easter! Anyways, introducing Lumiere and Ollie!!! 🕯️🔔
I wanted to do the designs of Adam's parents since we've never seen them in any movie (I'm not including the 2017 version, but I will use elements from it! , since I'm basing it more on the animated version where there are more possibilities for personal interpretations, I like the 2017 version and I don't want this to be misinterpreted)
So here they are, each one!...well, I'll talk a little about them but first I'll leave something here
(Not-so-serious disclaimer: this is just how I think Adam's parents were; this is all headcanon and doesn't mean it's actually like this!)

(warning⚠️: This couple's relationship is not healthy, and nothing that happens here, or the way they relate to each other, should be normalized. This relationship is based on dependency, manipulation and psychological abuse. If you are sensitive to these topics or if they make you feel something, please go to another part of the blog to see other drawings! The last thing I want is for you to have a bad time... and if you ever find yourself in a relationship like this, please be careful, and if you can, get away or seek therapy. Thank you very much for reading)
Rosalind and Briar met many years ago. Their parents had arranged their marriage so that each kingdom could benefit from the other and have allies in any situation. From the first moment, despite the arranged marriage, Rosalind fell in love with him. She didn't know if it was the way he treated her or his personality—, his eyes, his charm. She couldn't think what is wrong with him, but something about him captivated her.... On the other hand, there was Briar. He wasn't interested in Rosalind at all when they first met, but if his parents wanted to do something for his kingdom, he would, Besides, he was interested in the idea of one day becoming king, and for that he would need a queen, so... yeah.... The only thing that caught his attention about her was her face, which resembled statues he had seen before, and her sweet demeanor towards him. And despite not loving her, he tried to show her affection
As Briar and Rosalind grew up and built their kingdom, their relationship became more difficult. Despite being married, Briar treated Rosalind as if she were a stranger, yet he still wanted to show her affection, which confused her more and more. She did things for him, let him make decisions for her, and sometimes even let him ignore her. She was a good queen, but these things caused everything and some people to be affected by her husband's decisions. Although many people, even the servants, questioned her about this, she said she did it because—
-"I love him"
Briar, on the other hand, as I said, saw her as just another person. She still doubted why he was with her, but she stayed anyway.
Every time she cried, he stayed there without saying a word until she stood up and gave him affection, every time something went wrong, he sweet-talked her and made her stop doubting, and every time she was about to say something, he said it for her. Briar wasn't a good king or husband; he knew it, but he didn't care if it meant finally reigning and leaving his mark... and that same thing almost happened when Adam was born
When Rosalind had Adam, the only mark she left besides being a kind queen was giving a name to Adam, And a few minutes later, holding him in her arms, she... passed away
Briar, with the loss of his wife, might have seemed to many to remain the same... but I can tell you that wasn't the case. If he was already a bad king, now he would be a bad father. He WANTED Adam to be like him, to reign like him, to proclaim his legacy, and to ensure that no one in the castle forgot that he would still be there until he left. If Adam didn't do it, he ridiculed him and made him feel worse and worse. And what happened when Adam finally became like his father at his 8 years old? He left alone, leaving a note for the servants and without saying goodbye to Adam. If he didn't love him, why didn't he leave him in peace? If he didn't love him, why didn't he leave him with the servants? If he didn't love him, why did he still want him to be called his son?
omg It's 4AM I finished this EARLIER TODAY. AS A QUICK THING TO POST WHEN I GOT HOME. but then I had rehearsal and then forgor sorry but ANYWAYS!!!
Unpunny Jokes !
another Ophelia mini-comic .. thing.
Still trying to find the balance between "ghost" & "Anxiety" for Ophelia cuz I worry I'm leaning more towards "ghost" now & I don't wanna entirely LOSE the anxiety aspect... but whatever that's not the POINT of this one-
the point is she laughs at BAD PUNS. GENUINLY. (she just like me frfr...)
anyways I gotta utilize overlay layers more because THIS is what the colors look like w/out it:
