At the start of your relationship he didn't dare touch you without your permission and to a certain extent, he still doesn't. Instead of words though, now he uses gestures like waiting for half a second or looking up at you before you nod for permission.
"I love you" is the strongest and most meaningful thing for him to say. Because Bruce is always truthful, and when he says it, he means it fully.
You were also shown off. Regardless of Bruce being a very protective man of you, he couldn't help himself but show you to the world. Galas, events, work. Anywhere he could keep you by his side, you'd be asked to accompany him.
And do I need to mention the black amex card being 24/7 in your use? Sometimes you won't even need to ask, because he knows you rarely do. You're just gonna find it next to your coffee the next morning.

Neither is he the type to threaten someone, but it's because he doesn't need to. The moment another man spots the gentle, yet firm hand sitting on top of your hips or around your waist, he knows it's time to back off.
Sidewalk rule. It's sacred to him, he swears. The thought of you being in danger even in those small ways terrifies him to the core and he cannot stand it. Call him paranoid, but he will stay like that.

And last, but not least - the calmness that lays in him under all those feelings. Because when you ask to stay with him, he will never tell you no. And for Jason to allow someone to see him in all kinds of states is enough to prove how much he cares.
