Fellow otherkin, I saw the ask game.
So if you’re playing, I got prompts:
🍒 if you dont feed on blood what's your favorite treat?
🕸 what's your aesthetic like? What motifs might be associated with you?
🍷 are you a classics vampire? An urban vampire? Something else?
YAAAY I was hoping someone would send a few questions from that. yay!
🍒 if you dont feed on blood what's your favorite treat?
I wish I could feed on blood, but unfortunately that is not something in the cards for me (at least not now). To answer in a vampiric sense, my favorite treat is freely expressed sexual energy. It's delicious. In a literal sense because obviously I need to eat real food (and I love food), I guess my go-to answer is mac & cheese. I have been eating it every Wednesday since I was a small child, so that's one of my main comfort foods. Weird little tradition I like to bring up as a fun fact.
🕸 what's your aesthetic like? What motifs might be associated with you?
I have... a lot going on with me. I mainly have a goth "aesthetic", in a very gender queer kind of way. I love black clothes with interesting textures, interesting silhouettes, and lots of accessories. I like flowy long layers (skirts, sleeves, capes, anything) paired with more fitted pieces. In summer I look more witchy (or something) with more colors and stuff. But that said, I literally cannot decide on an aesthetic beyond the general goth thing. I like too many different colors and themes and statement pieces and and and (you get the idea). I like to look like I'm from another time---whether that be fantasy, centuries ago, or just a few decades.
And also the more "human" interests sometimes interrupt that aesthetic. My living spaces are usually about half super aesthetic and cool looking, and half a mess of fandom collections and posters.
As for motifs, I think a lot of people associate me with rabbits and human teeth because of some of my artworks I've worked on using that imagery. I guess also bats, but that's pretty cliché for a vampire.
🍷 are you a classics vampire? An urban vampire? Something else?
That depends on what we consider each of these to be. Definitively something in-between. This is a hard question, unless I'm misreading it.
I consider myself, at the core of my identity and kintype or whatever, closer to classic vampires---the kind who are properly undead, monstrous entities who've been around for a long time. But my expression and outlook and stuff is probably closer to that of a more modern one, I guess? It's kind of hard to explain what I mean.
i have a theory that cats with barely any stripes easily reading as tabbys while stripey dogs look like cats instead of brindled is a cultural impact of warrior cats
me btw
