Chicago PD Season 4 Thoughts
Favorite Episodes/Aspects:
The Silos, Episode 1: I mean can we talk about the end scene between Voight and Erin at her apartment door? Feels all around.
All Cylinders Firing, Episode 3: Voight stopping Platt from killing the guy who killed her dad. “You’re not me, Trudy.” Voight and Platt’s friendship is another one of my favorites.
Don’t Bury This Case, Episode 9: THE FREAKING LINSTEAD STAKEOUT MAKEOUT and the fact that Voight was using Linstead to his advantage!
You Wish, Episode 11: The whole running gag regarding Atwater and all the guys getting a little on edge and nervous over the murdered guy being castrated, Atwater not knowing that Duran Duran was printed correctly in the newspaper, and Platt’s face after Voight’s confrontation with Bunny about wondering who Erin’s real father is.
I Remember Her Now, Episode 13: Jay undercover in the Brady house and trying to help the girl Ellie. And Ellie representing all of us, when she tried to get into Jay’s pants. Also the ending scene with Platt and Voight spreading Sam, the dead girl’s ashes on Lake Michigan at sunrise.
The Whole Crossover of Chicago Fire, P.D., and Justice: Tremendous acting, particularly from Olinsky, Voight, and Peter Stone from Justice.
Last Minute Resistance, Episode 19: Burgess being a badass getting revenge on the guy who raped her sister, Platt’s lipstick knives she gave Burgess and Erin, Voight confronting the guy who held those rape seminars!
Antonio and Jay’s hug goodbye in Antonio’s last episode: My #1 Chicago PD BrOTP, next to #Ruzwater!
Rixton was a really awesome temporary replacement for Ruzek, he and Atwater really stole scenes.
Erin and Ruzek’s conversation about Ruzek and Burgess having the “ultimate plan,” (insert Erin holding up her left ring finger!)
The hooked on phonics line between Jay and Antonio, genius!
The possibility of Voight being Erin’s biological father!
Least Favorite Episodes/ Aspects
Overall there weren’t really any specific episodes that I outright hated, but some I just thought were meh.
Having Jay still being married to a chick and not divorced from her. (Good storytelling plot, annoyed that caused Linstead to take a break).
Erin going full on Voight on that one pedophile guy leading her to having a meeting before the review board.
Losing Antonio, still sad over that.
Losing Tay, I liked having her and Burgess as partners before Burgess got promoted to Intelligence.
