The Bedlam Raiders remind me a lot of the Banished.

Unexpectedly.

Except the Raiders’ operations are a lot more localised and focused on one planet and its moon.

And they’re more akin to an aimless death cult. Albeit only just.

At least on the surface!

Still.

They do remind me of eachother in unexpected ways.

Think about it.

Both of their leaders wield huge maces too.

(Ok Rayvis becomes deputy leader once Dagan is brought out of stasis but still)

Even their respective emblems are similar.

Both factions also plunder and slaughter of their own free will and sway new members with promises of power too.

And they’ve been particularly troublesome towards the larger villains.

With the Banished repeatedly decimating the Covenant and its remnants, and the Bedlam Raiders terrorising the Imperial forces on Koboh.

They also both work with criminal groups, with the Banished making alliances with numerous insurrectionist movements, mercenary groups, criminal gangs, and Venezian terrorists.

While the Raiders have an alliance with the Haxion Brood.

I just find these similarities to be interesting. That’s all.

Both also have a habit of amassing their arsenals by scavenging from military ruins of past factions.

With the Banished using UNSC and CMA surplus they either stole or pillaged, as well as stolen covenant materials, forerunner weaponry AND precursor tech (just the Divine hand, which is reliant on nanodust AND vacuum energy).

While the Bedlam raiders use stolen imperial tech, kitbashed weapons made by hand, improvised weapons, stolen Jedi lightsabers gifted by Rayvis to his most trusted followers, as well as stolen republic surplus (including old High Republic scientific technology utilising Koboh Matter running on magical nanodust (hmmmm)) as well as imperial weapons and an entire Clone Wars-era separatist arsenal they seized from a crashed Lucrehulk (Primacy) they use as their headquarters, which they’ve been able to use to assemble a small army.

I do really like them both as factions.

And these similarities stuck out to me.

Intriguing stuff.

I like that the raiders in Jedi Survivor are split between “yo this job’s kinda bullshit, why are we fighting a child?” and “this is the raider life. I will kill that twink or go down fighting, victory or death”
