Y’all, I taught some awesome classes tonight. I’m so proud of myself. I’ve been doubting my teaching abilities a lot lately, so I really needed that positive affirmation.

I can’t sing, I have a terrible voice. But I still get the urge to sing along to songs I like. I don’t know why. It’s almost inescapable.

Like an invisible hand grips my throat and forces the tone deaf notes from me.

I suppose that’s normal in various aspects of life.

People who can’t dance, dance.

People who can’t write, write.

People who can’t drive for shit, drive.

I wish understood it more. The urge to do what you know you can’t. Gluttonous for punishment maybe. For failure.

The things I can’t do but do anyway, don’t make me happy. So why do I do them?

I don’t know. I probably never will.
