I've been working on level grinding in Soul Silver in prep for facing Red. I still have a bunch of design work to do for my main team! Now that my secondary team has cleared the E4 rematch, I'm going to go after Red with a mix of the two teams. Some of them don't have fully evolved character designs yet and I gotta think about that.
This is me with BellaBella and Dillia in the past, back in original Silver. I did some quick designs for less adult-looking outfits for the two of them. The idea with my main team is that they were all like stylish high school kids who were jointly babysitting me, the awkward middle school kid. In 1st gen I imagine my Pokemon being a little younger than I was, and from 3rd gen onwards I envision them as being kids that I'm raising and I'm significantly older than them. But for some reason 2nd gen was in a weird in-between era where I guess I just needed someone else to be the older one? I can't really explain it. That's just how it feels in my memory when I try to remember what playing 2nd gen was like.
