In this post: 67.30-67.47. Drawn by yours truly, plus some art clipped from the rough cut.

Perhaps you remember @nicolaswildes Zistopia AU from back in 2016. What you may not remember is that it did actually get an ending, in the form of the 'rough cut', a mostly all-text script detailing what would have happened had the comic a chance to finish. It is the authoritative ending, but I always thought it a little bit of a shame that it didn't get drawn, because the ending it detailed was definitely worthy of the mammoth storyline the Zistopia AU was telling.

What THIS is, then, is my attempt at a rendition of what the rough cut might have looked like if it had gotten drawn. It is not authoritative, only my vision of someone else's outline- fanart of fanart, and although it does follow the script of the rough cut pretty closely (would be a little pointless if it didn't) I do make an attempt to smooth off some of what I interpreted the 'rough' edges to be of the rough cut. This manifests primarily in the form of some wildehopps focus, and additional menace for the different members of the cud club.

Some of the work at the beginning is drawn by me, but for the most part, it's been commissioned from a range of talented artists, who I was most pleased to support, and whom I encourage all of you to consider commissioning as well, as they do great art and work well with their commissionee.

Lastly, I would never have been inspired to do all these were I not utterly enchanted by the depth and clarity of nicolaswilde's writing. They've long since moved on from Zootopia, but they're still doing art with that same inspiring touch. An additional note concerning just this post and maybe one or two more- the rough cut was light on art, but some of the earlier sections had some. In the interest of clarity, and to move them out of the (comparatively) inaccessible rough cut, I've incorporated them here, in what is possibly the proper order? These first two sections in particular were very very light on details, so I had to do some guessing as to what must have happened prior to Honey deciding to leave her bunker. There are only two other sections here a part of 'my' composition that make use of art present in the rough cut, and nowhere else(?) but it's 90% original, new art.

"Dream – A Wish"

Episode This story focuses on Benjamin Clawhauser and Gazelle. Following a massive hit, the director decided to feature Benjamin in a new shoot. Odd as it may seem, this cuddly cat acts like a magnet for good luck.

Key moments:

- As a dedicated police officer, Benjamin Clawhauser could not turn down his assignment or the call to appear in the shoot. He could sense a menacing aura radiating from the Chief's office.

- Gazelle herself was brought in to persuade the Chief to let Clawhauser go. Even Mayor Brian Winddancer stepped in to help negotiate. - Benjamin felt incredibly awkward. So many respected and important figures had been mobilized on his account; the scene felt as though the fate of the entire city and all its citizens hung in the balance. - A compromise was reached. It seemed like madness, but the director’s intuition told him it would be a new kind of miracle: the entire police force would take part in the filming—appearing as background extras, supporting characters, and even in lead roles.

- Everyone? Is everyone going to be in it? Yes! Everyone! No exceptions. - And is all this just so Benjamin can take part in the shoot? It took everyone by surprise. But there’s another aspect, too: he gets to choose the role himself. How does that work? Can he pick it out personally? It all depends on what his script looks like. A script? Benjamin is completely in the dark. - The director decided that, in addition to playing a lead role, Benjamin would also be responsible for developing the video's storyline. In other words, they’re expecting a spectacular script from him—one that will absolutely blow everyone away.

- He’s in shock. They’re demanding a storyline from him, and on top of that, his own role will depend entirely on what he comes up with. But that’s the trouble: whenever an idea crossed his mind, it would vanish instantly. Friends and colleagues kept approaching him with specific ideas and requests—even the boss. The boss practically insisted on taking one of the lead roles himself. It felt like blackmail—or a threat.

- Fortunately, there were some who didn’t barge in or try to make changes. But even that was a problem; it was unclear what roles to assign them.

- He was given three days to brainstorm ideas, and because the schedule had been cut, he had only a week to write the script. It’s a nightmare.

- He was terrified. But Gazelle suggested they go for a walk to clear his head and take his mind off things. While they were walking, he began to feel unwell and dizzy. Gazelle suggested they find a bench; she sat down, and he lay down, resting his head on her lap. She stroked his hair and massaged his head. He felt awkward. She noticed this and sensed what he was thinking, immediately making it clear that it was no trouble at all—in fact, she enjoyed looking after him. He was afraid he might fall asleep, but she told him to go ahead and rest. A few minutes later, he snapped awake, shouting that he’d had a sudden realization. He jumped up abruptly, slipped, and hit his head against the edge of the bench. A nightmare.

- She helped him get home. Concerned about his condition, she wanted to suggest going to the hospital—the lump on his head was alarmingly large, and the bandage made him look like a man wearing a turban. Suddenly, he froze. Gazel grew worried: "Is everything all right?" Then it hit him—he remembered. An idea had come to him.

- The next day, he brought not just a few sketches, but a finished script. Already? Gazel read it first and was stunned.

- Many others, however, merely skimmed the text and were left puzzled. After all, quite a few people had previously pitched ideas—ideas he had ultimately rejected. The director studied the script closely and delivered the verdict: "We’re shooting it."

- The director is eager to bring something so incredible to life again.

- Many colleagues are still unhappy about it, though. Especially the boss. After all, he isn't the lead. But Benjamin said he had mentioned the lead role—and he did. There was never any talk of a lead role, after all.

- They had to resign themselves to it and film according to the script. And as it turned out, everyone would be singing and dancing, too.

- "Oh no," said Nick.

- The concept for the music video and its storyline is as follows: The story centers on a Priestess of the Sands who is searching for a powerful artifact—a magic lamp containing a mighty, all-powerful spirit, or genie, capable of granting any three cherished wishes—that will allow her to save the kingdom from the merciless desert and protect its inhabitants.

- The Priestess is Gazelle. Many of the kingdom's residents are ordinary passersby. The "police" include guards, thieves, and bandits, but there are also adventurers. Nick and Judy are adventurers.

- According to the story, brave heroes set out in search of treasure, encountering various perils along the way—from sandstorms and bandits to monsters, including a giant serpent. Gary plays the role of the serpent (they didn't manage to find a cobra in time).

- Guided by her visions, the priestess finds a lamp, yet she remains mindful of the warning: djinns are treacherous and capable of masking their greedy, cruel natures—they will resort to any form of deception.

- The djinn of the lamp turns out to be Clawhauser. He is willing to serve her faithfully, but only if she proves herself worthy; she must undergo a trial to demonstrate that her conscience is clear.

- After traversing such a difficult route, the heroine had to face a trial.

- The trials were extremely risky and dangerous. The treasury also held another artifact: a ring set with a red ruby. Imprisoned within it was another genie, who insisted that the whole endeavor was pointless. These were not trials at all, but rather methods for eliminating the lamp's owner; the genie would gradually seize control and seek to gain his freedom.

- The priestess had passed all the trials. She was now the rightful owner of the magic lamp. Yet, the genie pleaded with her for a single wish: to grant him his freedom. Suddenly, visions flooded her mind—visions of deception and the warnings the Ring Genie had given her about the true motives at play. Fear and anxiety washed over her. She decided to heed the Ring Genie’s counsel and took the ring.

- The Ring Genie burst into laughter, mocking her for making the wrong choice and acting foolishly. The imprisoned spirit—Chief Bogo—broke free from the ring, though he was greatly weakened.

- The heroes realized they had been deceived and engaged in battle. They were already gaining the upper hand, but the spirit of the ring proved more cunning and dangerous. He seized the adventurers and threatened to kill them. The priestess begged him to spare them. He set a condition: a wish. She had to wish for his freedom from the lamp-spirit. She made the wish. Unable to defy his mistress, he granted it.

- Shackles began to vanish from the spirit of the ring, and bound chains fell away. He began to transform, becoming the very embodiment of chaos itself. An Efreet—the highest form of djinni. His greatest desire was to hear and see pain, torment, and suffering. The priestess tried to stop him.

- She wanted to imprison him once more. But it was futile. He surpassed any other djinn in both status and power. Yet, he *had* been imprisoned—all because of her ancestors, the White Sorcerers. By joining forces, they had bound him and sealed away his power; then, with the help of their ally—the Djinn of the Lamp—they had locked him inside a ring. But since anyone could find and claim that ring, the djinn had volunteered to remain in the great treasury, ensuring no one else could take control of it.

- The priestess’s ancestor had asked the djinn to subject everyone to trials. Only in this way could an individual with a pure heart be found. Only in this way could he encounter a descendant of the White Mages.

- But now, he could not be stopped. The Ifrit resolved to revel in her grief and despair; he decided to destroy her entire kingdom. It brought him joy.

- The titan set out for the kingdom. The priestess blamed herself for what had happened, but the djinni comforted and encouraged her, offering her hope.

- Upon returning to the kingdom as it was being destroyed, the heroes sought any possible loophole—a way to defeat him. Only a being like himself could vanquish him.

- Infiltrating the temple, the djinni began to weave a barrier within the main hall. He intended to alter the fundamental laws of the cosmos by gathering the full might of the djinn and transferring it to a new vessel—one who would then wield limitless power.

- The Ifrit saw through their plan and tried to strike down his opponents with his sorcery. But it was all in vain. Taking advantage of the uncontrolled magical chaos within the dome, the heroes gained the upper hand. And then, the Djinn succeeded: he had gathered the very power of creation into a single wish. He intended to use it himself, but the heroes feared that, like the Ifrit, he too would go on a rampage. The priestess claimed the power instead. The Djinn was saddened.

- A mighty battle ensued. To ensure no one else was harmed, she transported herself, her friends, and the Ifrit to another realm, where the fight took place. He gained the upper hand many times, but at the final moment, he made a fatal error—and was defeated.

- Victory. Yet Djinn and Ifrit knew the cost of such power; it demanded a steep price—power in exchange for a life. The priestess had perished. She had foreseen this in her visions and would never have sacrificed anyone. When Djinn gathered the magic together, he lost all his power, but he gained his freedom. He desired that freedom solely to enjoy life—to savor every moment of each new day surrounded by his loyal and cherished friends. He shed a tear. Spirits of white mages appeared in the temple; they took his tear, and from it, a spark of life emerged. They brought the priestess back. Everyone rejoiced.

- Djinn, now a simple resident of the city, thanked the spirits—his friends—as well as his new friends.

- Now free, the former genie of the lamp set out to wander the world. But he didn't go alone; the one who had granted him his freedom—and to whom he had given the gift of life—became his inseparable companion. They were also joined by two fearless adventurers: a cunning rabbit and a silly fox.

- The storyline is incredibly gripping—much like the scene where they flee from savages on the beach.

- With a plot and scale like this, it really calls for a full-length movie. But the director had everything under control, and they wrapped up production. They’ve created a new music video that is a true masterpiece.

- And that is exactly what happened. Another success—perhaps even an excessive one. Since the police were involved in the filming, all the offenders, thugs, and criminals began acting in unexpected ways. Some would voluntarily walk into the station and turn themselves in. Others would deliberately commit a crime right in front of the police, or simply surrender without a fight. But the funniest part was that, upon being detained, they would ask the police for autographs. It was comical.

- Among the police officers, fans most often asked Nick, Judy, and Benjamin for autographs. Naturally, they also asked Chief Bogo—even in his role as the main villain—and they even asked Gary.

- At a restaurant, Benjamin Clawhauser and Gazelle were celebrating a new triumph. However, she asked him to avoid getting injured the next time he had a sudden burst of inspiration. He promised he would. Finally, they hugged and shared a kiss.

“Are We Lunch?!”

The story is dedicated to Benjamin Clawhauser and Gazelle. It all started on a video set, where a new commercial featuring stylish clothing was filmed. Featuring Gazelle herself. And now it's time to film a new music video. But everything changes when Benjamin Clawhauser and Gazelle crash-land on a desert island. But how?

Key moments:

- Benjamin Clawhauser was on vacation. He asked his childhood friend Tila, aka Gazelle, if he could be present at her commercial shoot. She was more surprised that he'd asked such a stupid question. She would have been delighted.

- The filming of a new music video was planned for the beach. Benjamin felt hurt and sad that they would be separated for so long. But Gazelle, learning he was on vacation, offered to go with the entire crew. He was only too happy to be there and watch her and the filming process. One could only dream of such a thing.

- We made a deal with the agent. Everyone greeted him warmly. Except the director. He doesn't like onlookers. But Benjamin agrees to help. He won't get in the way.

- During filming, many scenes didn't work. Rereading the script, it's as if something was missing. There was no spark.

- Clawhauser helped with the set design. Even the director praised it. But one of the fake palm trees, as expected, fell and hit Clawhauser on the head.

- When he woke up, a worried Gazelle was sitting next to him. It turned out he had suffered a head injury. But, fortunately, it was just a bump. Filming was completed. He missed everything.

- They were now sailing on the boat where the last shots were taken.

- And again, as luck would have it, a strong storm arose. And it happened that Benjamin and Gazelle were pulled overboard. Luckily, they are excellent swimmers. After a lull, they began swimming towards the nearest island.

- They began to examine it. Not a soul was around. They were stuck on a desert island. But they were not disheartened. This could even become part of their new life story.

- They began to live like the natives. But instead of two huts, they built one large, strong, and sturdy one. They enjoyed a wonderful vacation on the beach. A true paradise.

- Their idyll was shattered by the tracks they discovered. They wondered if someone else had fallen out of the ship? Perhaps rescuers? They followed.

- The tracks led them into the depths of the impenetrable jungle. They were forced to split up.

- Eventually, I came across the owners of the tracks. They were rabbits. The natives—rabbits. They were having a feast. They were enjoying the meal. The dish—beetles. Seeing them, Clawhauser grimaced, but his stomach had other ideas. His roar attracted the natives' attention.

- When they approached, they showed no aggression. But for some reason, they began to look at him with greater appetite. Benjamin knows that look; it's the look of a hungry, ferocious predator. Now he understands what those poor donuts feel.

- Benjamin ran like a whirlwind. Rushing, leaving the hunters in shock. He was more troubled by the thought of what had happened to Gazelle.

- Only when he managed to escape them did Clawhauser manage to discover their settlement. And as it turned out, Gazelle was already there. Not as a prisoner, but as an honored guest. BUT he decided to reveal himself anyway, because the number of pursuers was growing.

- Gazelle is deified, believed to be sent by the gods themselves. This is what haunts Clawhauser. And he was right. As it turns out, she will be an offering to the lord of volcanoes.

- When he tried to make an escape plan, it was discovered. Having captured him, the natives decided he would be the main course for the entire village. But he fought back like a huge herd of elephants.

- As he was escaping, with Gazelle in his arms, Clawhauser completed an unimaginable marathon. When they reached the beach, they saw a ship. They quickly grabbed a log and swam straight towards it. And that's when the volcano erupted. The gods were angry.

- After devastating explosions and destruction, a rock flew at Benjamin. More precisely, a pebble the size of a lentil. It hit him on the top of his head, knocking him out. Gazelle tried to bring him back to his senses. She called and called. And he woke up.

- He woke up. With a bandage on his head. As it turned out, looking around, it was just a dream. He had dreamed it all. But it was so believable.

- Saddened and grief-stricken, Clawhauser couldn't believe he'd simply been hit by a fake branch, passed out, and dreamed it all. Or maybe it's for the best, considering what they'd been through. Gazelle became very curious and asked Benjamin to recount everything that had happened. The story delighted her. She was stunned by such a story, such a plot. This plot amazed the others, too.

- When the set fell on Clawhauser, everyone rushed to help him, even forgetting to turn off the camera. And it was recording everything. The way he told, demonstrated, and acted it out impressed everyone. And the director found it, he found this living creature, that's what needs to be added.

- He drastically changed all the scenes, the staging, and, most importantly, the plot. They based it on a dream Benjamin Clawhauser had. And that's not all, he's also acting. Clawhauser was shocked. The director remembered him; he'd seen him on one of the sound stages when they were filming a headphone commercial, where his silhouette was used. But this time, he's filming a music video, under the direction of a renowned director, alongside talented individuals. And most importantly, side by side with his best friend and the greatest and most beloved singer.

- They reshot the video. It was a huge hit. An unimaginable success. Especially the scenes where they run from the cannibal rabbits. But the best is for last, like dessert. The ending. When the heroes escaped, they kissed in the sunset, hidden by shadowy silhouettes. It was audible, but hidden.

- It's a little sad. But Gazelle told Benjamin it could be fixed. And she kissed him. He literally charged up, gathering all his will into his paws, he grabbed her and kissed her passionately. She was both shocked and surprised. He became worried, but she gently touched him and kissed him again. But this kiss was different. It was filled with strong, sincere, and beautiful feelings. LOVE!!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

“Best Friends.”

The story is dedicated to Benjamin Clawhauser and Gazelle. This is an additional moment, an additional story from the lives and memories of two best friends: Benjamin and Tila.

Important and key moments:

- After a reunion hug, Clawhauser and Gazelle decided to sit at their table and continue their conversation. Clawhauser came to his senses, ran over, pulled out her chair, and then moved it to the table. Like a gentleman should. She smiled back.

- As they were looking at each other, Gazelle became curious about a spot on his right cheek. Benjamin pointed it out. And she applauded with delight. She likes it so much; it reminds her of a mouse's face.

- Benjamin still can't get over it; he can't believe that his best friend Tila and his beloved singer Gazelle are the same person.

- She was curious. Now that Benjamin found out who Gazelle was, how did he feel? How would he accept it? After all, this was a living angel in front of him, with unearthly beauty. He hardly wanted to remember her old self. But no. Benjamin absolutely adored her, even as Tila, even as his best friend. She was stunned. But of course, this was Benjamin, a kind and sympathetic cheetah cub. With a gentle, kind, and sensitive heart.

- They recalled their first meeting, the moment that had brought them together. When the new girl entered his class, she was disheveled and distracted. Her hair was flowing wildly, she wore glasses with enormous lenses, and she had braces. She was holding a huge stack of textbooks. After greeting him, the door was pushed open, causing her to fall to the floor and knock everything over. Everyone immediately started laughing, making her sad. But not everyone, except the teacher, who wanted to help her; one student suddenly ran up and began helping the new girl. It was little Benjamin. The teacher looked at him proudly and then loudly reprimanded the others. She was ashamed to have such ignorant and uncultured students. Everyone immediately became quiet and sad. Then, the teacher told the new girl to take an empty desk. She literally aimed for the row where Benjamin sat. But she felt awkward and explained that it would be difficult for her to see from the back. The teacher understood and turned to the row in front. After a short wait, Benjamin Clawhauser gave up his seat. The teacher praised him. And the little girl smiled back.

- She thought it would be hard to find friends, but no. She already had a best friend. Every day brought them something new and amazing. Every new event brought a multitude of bright colors. Memories that make you smile and be happy.

- But one fateful day changed everything. When Tila entered a talent competition. She would never have dared to do anything in life if not for her friend's support and faith. It was Clawhauser who spotted her hidden talent. It turned out she was very good at acrobatics, she was just shy. But her greatest gift was her voice. It was Benjamin who inspired her. He gave her courage, he gave her faith. But Tila also taught him not to give up. She taught him to dance. There were moments when their eyes met, and a powerful spark ignited.

- At first, many were surprised that Tila had even decided to participate. Even Tila almost left, but she stopped abruptly when she saw Benjamin in the audience. He plucked up his courage and began to sing. When her performance was over, silence fell. The entire room fell silent, the judges were stunned, and the audience remained silent. Tila was already worried, but Benjamin suddenly jumped out and said, "AWESOME!!!" The entire room suddenly burst into applause and shouts of delight, and the judges burst into tears. Such talent, a new star is born. The judges awarded her 100/100.

- Tila has become a universal favorite; her voice is something special. She literally calls everyone to dance. Her singing lights a flame within the soul, and the heart begins to sing along. And immediately, the next day, Tila was saddened. Clawhauser tried to console her and ask what was wrong. It turned out an agent had come by and offered her a very lucrative contract. Her parents had studied it; everything was fair. His business is built solely on honesty and truth. And Tila's talent is a true uncut diamond. A priceless treasure that needs to be shown to the world and dazzled by the magic of singing. Her parents said it was her choice. She had to make her own decision. Whether she wanted to or not. After all, here she felt like an individual; she became a star solely thanks to Benjamin's faith. Here he found and met his best friend. But he said she had always been an individual. And it's primarily her fault she didn't run away. And she has to make the decision herself. Her talent has blossomed, it has blossomed. Now she needs to help it grow.

- Benjamin will support her every decision. She wants to keep singing. And bring happiness to many. She's made her decision.

- The day before leaving, Benjamin and Tila met again, as they did every day, and began to discuss and talk about joyful things, thereby trying not to show sadness, melancholy, or shed tears. But they couldn't wear those masks for long. They cried loudly, saying it would be so hard for them to be without each other. Finally, they decided to take a photo as a souvenir and leave behind their funny emojis. When they were sad and down, they would take out the photo and smile again.

- When they said goodbye, Benjamin even started running after the car, but it stopped and Tila jumped out and ran to Clawhauser. They hugged each other, promising to be together again. Inseparable. She took him and kissed him. He froze, waving after her. And left with an enthusiastic smile.

- Benjamin Clawhauser and Gazelle still have these photos. And they always have them at hand. After all these years, neither of their photos has lost its original appearance. The only difference is perhaps the scents. Perfume and icing. Gazelle laughed; she remembered his passion for donuts. Now she understood why his page nickname was "Donut Lover." And suddenly she remembered. Those photos where the collection was shown. She came to her senses, because there was everything in there, from records to underwear. He still asked if by any chance he was wearing... with a caption. He smiled sheepishly. She immediately understood from his reaction. Embarrassed, she began to cover herself.

- Clawhauser came to his senses, because it turns out he'd been a fan of Gazelle all these years. Listening to his favorite singer. But it turns out he'd been rooting for Tila all this time. So that's it. And she admitted that only his faith gave her the strength and drive to move forward.

- Realizing that time was drawing to a close, Gazelle gave Benjamin her phone number, telling him she wanted to meet him again. To reminisce about these moments and discover new impressions and emotions.

- Saying goodbye, Gazelle, just like she once did, came up to him and kissed him. He froze in amazement. She was enchanted by his reaction. And so they said goodbye, wishing him goodnight and see him soon.

- At home, Benjamin and Gazelle pressed their faces into the pillows. A reaction of embarrassment and happiness.

- Having received Gazelle's number, he was confused about whether to write his name: Gazelle or Tila. But he wrote, "My star."
