I’ve started a journal that I keep beside my alter and write in it daily and address it to Hades. It feels more personal to do this than talking aloud and it helps me keep track of any signs that I have seen from him.

I also did my first prayer to him, and thanked him for getting me through this past week. It’s been really difficult with the death of my cat, and my mental health has taken its toll on me due to this but through it all, I’ve felt Hades beside me. I also added some coins to my alter - nothing amazing, but I do think my alter has a lot more character to it now!

I’m a little behind on everything I’ve got to do for the end of this week, and auntie Moira’s funeral was this weekend so I’m rather tired and stressed… the good news is I’ve got an interview for a legal secretary position

When someone you love dies it becomes a lifetime of looking for the little things. The little signs that just let you know they’re there. It’s just a world of hearing the song at the right time, or finding the perfect little flower. Somehow they always seem to understand when you need it most and you find yourself with a dumb grin staring at the sky and thanking them for the little things. Because in the end they taught you all about how short life is. They taught you to enjoy every small moment. No matter how painful it gets some days you know they’re still there to give you the perfect little cloud or the favorite color. And sometimes you can close your eyes and you’ll feel their hand in yours, hear their laugh and see their smile. It’s in those moments that you know the rest of the world might not believe it but they are with you every step of the way. For the rest of your life you’ve got your little angel to guide you, and make you smile when you weep, to make you dance when you don’t want to move, and to make you sing when you want to be silenced. That’s your angel. And no one in the world can change that.
