Process of making lacquerware iPhone case: 1. Apply a thin layer of Seshine-Urushi (raw lacquer) and let it dry in humid cabinet for three days. 2. Apply a layer of Roiro-URUSHI (black lacquer) and inlay eggshells. Brown color is roasted chicken eggshell, white is raw chicken eggshell and blue-white is duck eggshell. Let it dry in humid cabinet for 2 days. 3. Apply mixture of Seshime-Urushi and Tonoko (very fine clay soil) to fill in space between eggshells, then let it dry in the room for 3 days. 4. Polish with fine stone to reveal eggshell and flatten surface. 5. Apply a layer of green Urushi, mixed from Kijiro-Urushi (transparent lacquer) and green pigment. Let it dry in humid cabinet for 2 days. 6. Polish by very fine stone to reveal eggshells. Now green color would stay in gaps. 7. Apply a layer of white Urushi, mixed from Syuai-Urushi (glossy transparent lacquer) and Kokka-junpaku-shoku (Titanium Dioxide). Let it dry in humid cabinet for 5-7 days. 8. Polish with very fine stone and Suruga-zumi (charcoal). 9. Polish to finish, using Sanwa-roiromigaki-ko (antler ash powder) 10.
