Why is EVERYTHING being advertised on social media a scam?
better help is the wish.com of therapy
It makes me so sad when people say they’ve lost faith in psychology because of a therapist. A therapist may not even be professionally trained in some countries. They often have little oversight. Please don’t give up based on your experiences with therapists. Try a psychologist or psychiatrist. They are actually trained.
Also, watch out for companies like Better Help. They have been caught doing some shady stuff.
Hii it's September so it's suicide prevention month and I'd like to remind everyone as the daughter or a Psychiatrist, THAT BETTER HELP SUCKS AND IF YOUR GONNA DO THERAPY DO IT THROUGH ANYTHING BUT BETTER HELP!
Better Help dose not vet there therapists and one of the BIGGEST pieces of advice my mother gave me that I can give the internet is "School therapists are always more loyal to the school then the student/patient" Meaning that therapists tied to schools or for money institutions/businesses will always be more loyal to the schools or institutions/businesses best interests even if that's at your expense.
Better Help will always be more loyal to earning money then it will be to helping you. Most Therapists have a private practice or work for reputable hospitals/institutions THAT FOLLOW SET PROTOCALS! Better Help isn't bound by ANY of thatc it's shady and unsafe!
If your gonna get help and spend the money to do it, then do it right! Also know what your looking for, a normal therapist can not prescribe you medication, a therapist who's gone to med school can!
DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE AND STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM BETTER HELP
We've started reporting Better Help ads as scams whenever we see them, and I have no idea if that will do literally anything, but I think y'all should too. I don't know how to report ads on Tumblr, but at least on YouTube and Instagram it's the same as reporting a normal post. Fuck Better Help get their ass off the internet
Few phrases can ruin a YouTube video more than "Today's video is sponsored by Better Help"
