Apo and Alistar venting to eachother about their complicated relationships with their sun mages Send Post
BF headcanon
Cherri's lesbian, doesn't know how to confess to her dad due to the suitors she's been paired with, but Ren already knows, he's just playing dumb waiting for her to leave the closet on her own
Absolutly. Ren would probably start adding a couple female suitors in there. Just as a subtle ‘I see and accept you’.
really random one from me but I think it’s funny
The people in the kingdoms have a bet on how long it will take Cherri and Apo to get together
→ Cherri finds out about this by eavesdropping, and tells Apo. the two of them laugh about it bc little do they know the confession has already occurred, and they end up telling the others at a time where specific people win the bet (although it is a little rushed because of the creaking king thing. They make sure Frouge + Sausage loses)
Alistar and Ren participated and placed bets while they were there as well. However, the person who actually won for real was Graecie, who guessed that it had already happened.
Years later, the two reveal that they knew about the bet the entire time.

In keeping with the “POW character mentions an IRL work of fiction and then claims it’s a book or a play” trend, there’s an in-universe version of “Avatar: The Last Airbender” that’s seen in Soluna as a cautionary tale on what NOT to do with fire magic, especially as royalty with fire magic.
King Ren already found it a heart-wrenching read; the idea of a royal father deliberately burning his own child sickened him. After Cherri’s accident, he couldn’t bring himself to pick up the books again at all.

Omg I’m so happy I found this! I’ve had so many BannerFall headcannons with nowhere to share them. Let me give you one of my favs:
Orion’s Hilt isn’t Alistar’s only sword, far from it actually! They have a huge collection of weapons inside the moon knight armory from various quests. Orion’s Hilt is her travel sword that she brings for shorter missions that should have minimal fighting. His usual main weapon is one of those GIANT anime swords that’s the size of like an average person (Think cloud from final fantasy).
Apo’s Moon piercer is a gifted hand me down from Alistar, though Apo doesn’t actually know that. Basically Ali wanted to give it to her because ze noticed her capability with the knight’s training spears, but ze also knew Apo would never accept a handout. Instead, Alistar sent her on a fetch quest, pretending the item Apo was searching for was super important for the king/princess (something like “Oh this flower is pivotal for the princess’s outfit for the ball” or “The king needs these magical components for a very powerful potion”). Then after her quest he made sure Ren gave her the spear instead of himself. Apo really treasures that moment as one of the first times she ever interacted with the royalty of Soluna as a moon knight.
Oh that's so wholesome. I love it.
Another Soluna one: Ren and other fire mages have a sort of semaphore code sent by shooting flames into the air. They add glowstone dust for the crackling noise it makes (I think that’s the ingredient for the crackle effect in vanilla fireworks) so people will hear that and know to watch the shape and sequence of the flames for what the message will be. Mostly just words and short phrases that would be useful on a battlefield.
When Apo and Cherri pull into Soluna’s harbor, their brief fear that the docks are on fire is assuaged by that distinct crackling and a closer look: Ren is at the front of the crowd on the pier sending up the signal for “OUR people approaching” as a way to welcome them home.
And for the first time, Cherri gets to answer his signal flare with one of her own.
That's actually so wholesome. I love
