Let’s Get It Started (2005) - back then they did the songs with the kids only doing the backing vocals sometimes. practically no lyric changes. times they've had to censor the word 'retarded' (in this list): 1, technically

Pump It (2006) - they REMOVE THE VERSES COMPLETELY AND JUST LEAVE THE ADLIBS. this is already a pop-rap song people can't you just do your job

Superstar (2008) - left almost completely unaltered, which is impressive because it's like a full on rap song. reference to christianity KEPT

Let It Rock (2009) - left mostly unaltered, but rap verse(s) REMOVED (not that they were on topic). references to christianity REMOVED, even though that's the main conceit of the song

American Boy (2009) - left mostly unaltered. 'five-foot-seven guy' changed to four-foot-seven guy which is funny. first kanye verse kept, second (main) kanye verse REMOVED

Club Can't Handle Me (2011) - lyrics fairly unaltered

The Time (originally The Time (Dirty Bit)) (2011) - lyrics somewhat unaltered. lines like 'do it' are being altered now. 'maggots' is also censored

Price Tag (2011) - mostly unaltered. unsurprisingly 'low blows and video hoes' does not make the cut. B.o.B's guest verse maintained

Party Rock Anthem (2012) - all rapping removed, which is a darn shame. it just goes from the chorus to the drop to the chorus to the drop (admittedly like a proper anthem would)

Starships (2012) - somewhat altered. the central line 'we're higher than a motherfucker' is replaced with 'we're kidz bop and we're taking over'

Thrift Shop (2013) - lyrics quite altered. 'pop some tags' is censored?

Let's Get It Started (2013) - a redone version with kids this time. more alterations than last time - 'break your necks', 'twist and bang your spine', 'bugged out drill', and 'pull your weave out' are all now gone (but 'get stupid' remains). the kidz are in fact bad at rapping and the first verse is the worst. times they've had to censor the word 'retarded': 3

Timber (2014) - first verse REMOVED and replaced with the second one, saving them from having to change 'she says she won't but i bet she will'

Fancy (2015) - first verse REMOVED completely, second verse fairly unaltered, bridge and third verse REMOVED completely. times they've had to censor the word 'retarded': 4

Hey Mama (2015) - verses 1 and 2 KEPT but highly altered, of course, and third verse removed. if you were to remove all the verses from any song, this would have been the pick. tradwife context forcibly excised as best as they could

Worth It (2015) - rap verse fully removed

Downtown (2016) - macklemore's second verse removed, otherwise lyrics somewhat altered. anti-cop lyric changed. 'she a big girl / ain't a big deal / i like a big girl' changed to 'smart girl' which is odd.

My House (2016) - lyrics mostly unaltered

Work (2016) - lyrics mostly unaltered, drake's verse (verse 3) shortened. politics of having these kidz bop kids sing in full jamaican patois - unclear

One Dance (2016) - lyrics fairly unaltered, 'she love me long time' reference kept

Ride (2016) - lyrics mostly unaltered except for the second verse which they brutally massacre: 'i'd die for you' is 'i'd sing for you', and 'bullet' becomes 'song'. that doesn't make any sense, but you'll just have to live with it. fun that they attempted it though

Gold (2017) - the way i was BEGGING they would do the chorus chop correctly. i can't actually tell if they did but it sounds fine. lyrics mostly unaltered - 'your brother was a good substitute for you' and 'bodies on the pavement' removed.

Cold (2017) - future verse removed

I'm The One (2017) - first two rap verses REMOVED, replaced with lil wayne's rap verse, highly altered

In My Feelings (2019) - somewhat altered, second breakdown removed. 'Two bad bitches and we kissin' in the Wraith' changed to 'all of us kids and we hangin' in the Wraith' which i think is very funny

Sunflower (2019) - lyrics mostly unaltered

Lucid Dreams (2019) - lyrics fairly unaltered, but some funny changes: 'i love and i hate you' becomes 'i love and i miss you', 'you want me dead' is 'you know i'm sad', 'better off dead' is 'better off sad', etc.

Toosie Slide (2020) - lyrics fairly unaltered, verse 1 REMOVED, 'I just can't afford to lose nobody else' is kept, 'i could dance like michael jackson' becomes 'i could dance like i'm a jackson' and if you're going to do that, just use janet

RITMO (2020) - spanish chorus and verse fully kept (if any of it was censored I don't know sorry), english lyrics mostly unaltered

MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) (2021) - lyrics fairly unaltered, 'cocaine and drinking with your friends' is now 'singing and dancing with your friends', and 'Shoot a child in your mouth while I'm ridin' does not make the cut

Let's Get It Started (Redo Version) (2021) - for the greatest hits. 'break your necks' is back, 'pull your weave out' is still gone, 'get stupid' (and 'let's get coo-coo') is gone, 'bugged out drill' is gone but has been replaced differently this time, 'bang your spine' is back. times they've had to censor the word 'retarded': 5

Astronaut In The Ocean (2021) - mostly unaltered, religious references kept. also i would say their rapping is notably good (for a kidz band)

Mood (2021) - second verse REMOVED, otherwise mostly unaltered

Girl Like Me (2021) - second verse REMOVED, otherwise lyrics somewhat unaltered, spanish maintained (although from watching the video it looks like only two of the kids know spanish), the 'latinas' refrain is kept, also an interesting distinction - here the line 'Like it when I get so bossy is changed', but 'i like 'em sassy' from Downtown was kept, which is curious

Goosebumps (2021) - this is the song that inspired me to do this list: they MASSACRE the song, changing the instrumental fully into a house song, removing everything but the first eight lines of the first verse and splitting that into the two verses, of course heavily altering them. christian reference maintained: the combination of capitalism and religion vis a vis 'throw a stack on the bible' was apparently not considered objectionable to american audiences

Boy's a liar (2023) - ice spice verse REMOVED and the first verse is repeated (even though the original HAD a second verse), otherwise lyrics mostly unaltered, and they pronounce 'liar' correctly which makes sense since young children will be hearing this

Paint The Town Red (2024) - lyrics mostly altered. satanic reference REMOVED

Barbie World (2024) - lyrics highly altered, brand references maintained. i mean I don't like my kids entertainment to glaze a company but they didn't consult ME. the line 'I'm a 10 so I pull in / hang with a Ken' is acceptable here apparently, although similar lines have been cut in earlier songs i swear. also also the line 'And I give the box with no shoes in it' slips through despite the fact i am fairly certain (and Genius corroborates) that 'box' is also meant to refer to vagina in the original and they normally censor lyrics like that. side note: not these writers' fault (it was in the original) but the line 'all the fake barbies' is kinda crazy

Popular (2024) - playboi carti feature kept, lyrics mostly unaltered. satanic reference REMOVED ('selling their soul' is kept though!!!), but christian reference MAINTAINED

Not My Fault (2024) - SECOND AND THIRD VERSE CUT COMPLETELY (a gay girl can no longer get an amen) but remaining lyrics mostly unaltered, 'flight risk' reference kept

MILLION DOLLAR BABY (2025) - lyrics almost completely unaltered, even 'I ain't ever rep a set'. nearly word perfect

GIRLS (2025) - lyrics somewhat unaltered, 'ex' mention removed even though i swear it's been allowed before, kids are no longer allowed to be 'a 10' (Barbie World) nor 'get dumb' (Let's Get It Started)

Anxiety (2025) - lyrics somewhat unaltered, second verse REMOVED, 'unhappy, no homo' did not make the cut but they did ADD the lyric 'got rhymes like Busta' which i think is a believable lyric they wrote all by themself. also side note but i prefer the mix on this song to the original

NOKIA (2026) - drake's final verse REMOVED, lyrics mostly unaltered

A BOP Song (originally A Bar Song) (2026) - lyrics somewhat unaltered, references to alcohol have all been removed (hence the title), religious references REMOVED

yes i listened to all of these songs. side note: they often make sure to change slang references when they have an 'unfit' meaning, so yes, they do know the meaning of what they cut

Main oc's list

This is just a list of my main oc's, idk why I'm doing this but whatever. This doesn't include all of my oc's, because I have tons and tons of other oc's that I have, these are just the main ones with actual stories and such. This also doesn't include fandom oc's. I might explain them more in detail one day when I actually post them all here. BTW not all of them are related to eachothers stories.

Please note, a lot of my oc's stories have sensitive themes, including but not limited to: Abusive parents, self harm, depression, suicide, murder, etc. Please be careful!

No More Happy Endings:

Adryel - Prince (well, technically king) of the cruel alien species the Axaloids, who convert humans into their own kind via breaking and killing them with the power of mental illness, residing on planet Chanotex. Overdramatic, show-offy, and incredibly bloodthirsty and sadistic. Almost always smiling.

Akuji - Impatient Axaloid who has a complicated relationship with Prince Adryel. She's incredibly impatient, irritable, and far too emotional for an average Axaloid. She both loathes and fears Adryel.

Kaarix - Human formerly known as Kate converted into an Axaloid by Akuji. However, Akuji didn't 'prepare' her properly for conversion, and as a result, she is incredibly deformed by axaloid standards, sometimes remembers her human life, and gets incredibly emotional or disobeys orders. She has the mindset of a teenager, and can be a bit nervous.

Human story:

Eden Fletcher - An easily flustered, nervous young man who is quite feminine, and rather timid. He has anxiety, paranoia, and PTSD from an abusive father as well as being kidnapped by Axel Monroe (mentioned further down the list). He is currently in a relationship with Vincent Aster (OC belonging to my friend!).

Edric Michael Taylor - A tired, playful guy learning from his past mistakes. He used to be a not-so-nice guy, and bullied Eden in school, however he is improving as a person. He plays guitar, sings, and makes his own music under the alias Edric Green. He has depression and insomnia, is extremely hopeless in love and is very very single.

Anthony 'Ant' Taylor - Adopted brother of Edric, Ant works as a principle in a local school. His pregnant wife, Melissa, was murdered by Axel, and he is recovering. He and Edric are thick as thieves, and even have matching tattoos on their backs.

Douglas 'Doug' Christopher Morgan - Originally, a laid back and friendly man. But, after things went awry in his life and he got, long story short, turned into a murderer at the hands of Axel and The Superintendent, he's become violent and cruel. Apart from all his struggles, Doug is extremely thirsty and flirtatious and often teases Axel, whom he lives with.

Axel Monroe - A mysterious murderer, often seen wearing a mask. He is wilfully cruel to other people and enjoys putting pain unto others, be it mental or physical. He likes to keep a low profile, and is rather intelligent. However, he is not physically that strong and he is also sometimes easily distracted, especially by Douglas, who he has some...complicated feelings about.

The Superintendent - A lumbering, unnamed alien who was abandoned by her family on Earth after she was born with several critical defects both physically and mentally. They abandoned her on Earth out of shame and she has a goal to use or slaughter as many earthlings as she can so that her people notice her and take her back. She has the ability to control curses, both in objects and people, and is one of the main reasons why Douglas is a murderer today, however, she has since been apparently murdered also, ironically also by Douglas. (character currently being heavily reworked, this is no longer canon. Will update later.)

Azariah Pierre - Former girlfriend of Douglas whom he murdered. Azariah was very loving and silly, and enjoyed reading and journalling. She didn't notice what was wrong with Douglas until it was too late, and he feels immense guilt over killing her.

Juniper 'June' Ruby Blaine - A goofy and loveable autistic teenage girl who is friendly and fun. She enjoys being with her small, comfy group of friends, swimming, and scrapbooking.

Hellbent Casino:

Chancellor Lincoln AKA Sir Genesis - in an alternate, slightly more advanced world, Chancellor is a cyborg who rebuilt himself after he realised that human society was 'stagnating'. He runs a casino which is entirely serviced by robots or cyborgs, however the casino is merely a disguise for his behind-the-scenes endgame; to turn the entire world into robots and cyborgs, as he believes them to be better.

Silas Chaplin - TV-headed robot working as a bartender at the casino. One of Chancellor's earlier attempts at a robot with more sentience and personality, he is a bit glitchy, with a glitched eye as well as a rather 'shocking' accidental ability to zap people with electricty. He is over-the-top and foolhardy, rather fond of his boss, to the point of almost sucking up to him, and enjoys teasing and irritating his coworker, Everard.

Everard Elziar - Another TV-headed casino robot, a bouncer and general guard. He is rather hotheaded and easily infuriated, however tries (to varying degrees of success) to keep this down in order to not anger his boss. He's rather materialistic and serious, liking to keep everything in line and having no tolerance for foolish people or troublemakers. He believes Chancellor's goal is good however has some questionable tactics, and cannot stand the annoyance of his coworker Silas.

Byzik AKA 'BIT' - Bit is a general assistance robot who assists anyone who requires it and provides general information, directions, etc. He is very peaceful and friendly, believing that everyone deserves respect, even those of questionable intentions. He vows not to hurt anyone, however, he has a mode that can be activated by Chancellor that "turns off" his desire to be kind and allows him to 'eliminate' disturbances, which upsets him afterwards.

T.E.R.A - a robot who works solely behind the scenes as a scientist, assistant, and technician, alongside Chancellor. She has less emotions and self-awareness than other robots in the casino, however she is not completely void of such things, and sometimes wonders what it would be like to have more emotions or even be human.

Another very WIP character who is a human and sides with T.E.R.A to get inside info.

Heaven's Advocate/general fantasy universe:

Amator - In a seperate alternate world where all your wildest fantasy dreams are true, Amator is a minor deity of love, affection and relationships. He is relatively young in God terms and often finds himself pairing up people just for fun, rather than for the betterment of their lives or helping them find soulmates, much to the dismay and disapproval of his peers.

Athene - Main Goddess of warfare, perserverance, hope and bonds. She sometimes acts as a mentor to Amator, trying to teach him to be less childish and make less impulsive decisions.

Chaos - God of the void, the first being in existence to be created. A massive tentacled being with the ability to change its size. Not much is known about him outside the world of the Gods, and not many know if he is good or evil, however he is known to be extremely stubborn. You will not be able to change his mind once he has made a decision and god forbid you if you try.

Cassius Abalos Sistrurus - A naga/snake-person merchant and trader who has their own shop in a desert town. They also travel from place-to-place, selling goods and purchasing shiny things. They sell trinkets and objects said to have good value or even magic ability. Although they may seem intimidating at first, Cassius is good-hearted and actually relatively small and weak in comparison to other naga, who they actively avoid.

Lotus Lagunov - A half-human, half-water-nymph shark-like girl who ran away from her parents at a young age. She lives around a seaside town, where she met her now-lover, Yuuko. She is quite outgoing and childish, often acting reckless and doing dangerous things for fun, where she needs Yuuko to reel her in a bit.

Yuuko Ziyamiya - A solemn, sword-wielding Avian (relatives of bird-people hybrids, but with only bird wings) who was quite aloof and serious until she met Lotus. She can be overprotective and unwilling to do anything outside of her comfort zone, and Lotus helps her to 'loosen up' and be more relaxed and have more fun.

Other:

Gizmo - A very tall and lanky genderless clown who does all they can to make other people happy and cheer them up. They are quite loud, outgoing, and overbearing. They would do anything to make people happy, which can result in them going to rather extreme lengths to do so...

With that we are done with the 1940′s and 1930′s 

Oh boy was this rough. I think I enjoyed maybe 5 of these movies? Many of them were painful, misguided and racist.

Historically, Disney lost a lot of funding during WWII and thus the quality of their movies suffered. I think it shows as a huge dip happens without much warning.

It is VERY bizarre to see how Disney got its start, and I am continuously baffled by some of the writing decisions made without apology. 

I think I have a greater understanding for where Disney is at the moment by looking at its roots, since a lot of it’s modern issues were never worked out in the opening stages.

Academy Award Review of Walt Disney Cartoons [11/50]

I find it weird that the first one on this list is the worst, but then again it was so offensive it’s not much of a surpise.

Bambi, Snow White and Dumbo are easily the top three, and they deserve it. Disney is strongest when it is telling a coherent story from start to finish with a strong emotional through line. Bambi works because it conveys emotions too complex to express through words alone, and it utilizes the medium of animation to it’s fullest.

Time to move on to the 1950′s, wish me luck.

(293) First time I actually like sat down and paid complete attention to this movie and damn does everything hold up and it really really other than the final song they play doesn't feel like a 90s movie. Many kisses to all the precious babies. <3 <3 <3. Also watching this made me realize all the little head nods I missed in Valerian.
