I went and got some fabric today to make my first #minkyblanket I’m always excited and scared to try new things. When I used to work in a day care, almost all my babies had minky blankets and/or loveys, so I knew I eventually wanted to try and make one and the time has finally come. I don’t think it’s hard. I just get intimidated by new things. So wish me luck as I keep pushing myself to try new things. #bigsummer by @jenniferweinerwrites is about two girls, Daphne and Drue, who were friends through middle and high school only to have a huge relationship ending fight sending them in different directions as they move into adulthood. 6 years later, Drue is having a big society wedding and she wants her only “true friend”, Daphne to stand as her maid of honor with her. Daphne wants to say Hell No, but gets sucked back in by Drue and plus, a society wedding would be great back drop for her influencer posts that now are her source of income. Things are awkward, but it’s only a few days. She can do it until everything goes wrong and she finds Drue floating face down in her hot tub on her wedding day. This is one hell of a #summerthriller as Daphne races to figure out who killed Drue before the police figure out that she herself should be at the top of the suspect list. This one kept me up reading late several nights in a row as Daphne worked her way through the mystery of her friends’ death while also working through the memories of the relationship.
