git kurtar kendini dostum. kurtar canını tüm bağların zulmünden. ve bırak evleri, onları yapanlara mezar olsunlar. git, seninkinden başka toprak bul. kendi ülkenden başka ülkeler. ama asla kendi canından başka can bulamazsın. düşün, tanrının toprakları sonsuz genişlikteyken, seni alçaltan bir ülkede yaşamanın ne kadar anlamsız, ne kadar şaşırtıcı olduğunu.
There’s a hell of a lot of Madonna/whore issues going on there
So, I am watching Binbir Gece (1001 Nights) and it’s super mega bonkers.
Meet our future OTP:
She is a plucky widow architect whose only child is ill with leukemia and needs a transplant which costs a ton. He’s her intense, needs major therapy gazillionare boss.
You can tell he’s attracted to her like mad, but he’s never going to act on it because he has huge Madonna/whore issues going - he believes all women except his sainted mother are evil whores out for cash. His Dad was apparently a huge slut who died in some floozy’s bed, and instead of blaming daddy only, he blames the lady of the night and extrapolates ALL WOMEN ARE CASH STARVED HORS.
Anyway, she needs $150K for the procedure and asks to borrow it from him. He kinda boggles because she barely started working there and it’s an insane amount of money. Fair. Then he adds he will give her the cash for one night with him. It’s some sort of a weird test and he’s mega pleased she insults him and turns him down (honestly, can he even perform in bed with all those desperately needing therapy hangups?) But then she takes that back because she needs the money, though she doesn’t tell him why (and he has no idea she even has a child) and they spend a thoroughly miserable night together.
Like - you paid $150K for that?
Anyway, despite her supposedly failing his weird purity standards, he gets obsessed with her and does things like ask her what she needed the money for (reasonable) or offering $300K (WHAT) for another night. She tells him to fuck off and he has to apologize. That was glorious.
He sort of tries to semi-court her in his “I am actually an alien who has never interacted with humans” manner, without even realizing it himself. She wants nothing to do with that - she needs the job so she works for him but that’s the extent of it.
AND THEN HIS SAINTED MOM COMES IN TALKING ABOUT A LEUKEMIA CHARITY AT WHICH SHE MET HIS AWESOME ARCHITECT AND HOW HER LITTLE SON NEEDED A VERY EXPENSIVE SURGERY BUT SHE WAS ABLE TO GET THE MONEY.
His faaaaaaaaace! It is gonna give me joy for days.
Hahahahahahahahah he has just realized he has bought sex from a selfless mother who is above such things and is PURE but was doing things for her son selflessly because she is a SAINTED MOTHER like his own mom. (OMG, there is a therapist screaming to see you, dude!)
Hahahaha. I bet he is gonna court her for real now because she meets all his criteria AND he is obsessed with her, and she’s gonna tell him to jump off the roof. This is gonna be delish.
But honestly, money or not, and charisma or not, run run run away girl! He has more issues than the New York Times and is probably inhibited as hell in bed. (Or a total freak, I suppose. Mega-conservatives go either way.)
Turkish drama fans, please help ya girl out with recommendations for more female centric shows. I just finished Fatmagul (an actual perfect show!), seen half of Binbir Gece that I could find subtitled (I might give it another try now that my comprehension by listening is better), started Winter Sun and didn't care for the rich twin. Started Magnificent Century but the German lead actress was annoying. If nothing, I'll just watch Fatmagul again.
English Subs for Turkish Shows
Please can someone help me? I’ve been getting into Turkish shows and Netflix has a problem of uploading only the first seasons.
Does anyone know where to watch English subs of Seasons 2-3 of Binbir Gece (1001 Nights), Seasons 2-4 of Muhteşem Yüzyıl (Magnificent Century) as well as the whole of Vatanım Sensin (Wounded Love).
The trailer for Wounded Love has got me hooked, and I learnt about it because HiLeon won that American poll, but I also want to watch the show for other storylines - like Azize and Cevdet’s.
With Wounded Love, I can’t see it airing anytime soon in the UK and can’t find any English subs and full episodes. I mean Skam had like the whole of Norway translating the show into English for fans - which was amazing. I need to watch these Turkish shows, I’m just hooked and Netflix are being dicks with only having the first season of the shows on there.
