hornkus origin idea: he's barty's mirror self (that lives in like the world in our mirrors) that just. stepped out one day. (maybe with some help from pandora?)
anyways because hornkus is barty's mirror self he's stuck in how barty looked when he stepped out and actually just physically cant change his appearance. even when barty changes his now, hornkus doesn't change, and probably doesnt age too lowk.
to throw in a little angst here too i would like to propose that either
a) since hornkus is barty from the mirror world i like to think that hornkus is a reflection of barty's insecurities and the things he hates the most about himself. like mb if were headcanoning hornkus as gross and obnoxious its because of how barty learned to be gross and obnoxious as a way of coping/protecting himself in a hostile environment. or ive seen the hc that hornkus is the perfect son his father wanted, and in that case he would be a reflection of barty's insecurity that he isn't enough for his father.
gonna be real im not super up to date with the barty crouch jr lore but i enjoy this idea so

b) the reason hornkus has the name and personality he does is because he's kind of an imaginary friend barty made up in his head like if he'd had a bad day he would stare at the mirror and have conversations with this obnoxious motherfucker called hornkus binglefuck who was always his number one hype man that pushed him to do stupid things and instigate people but also bully him into doing things he didn't want to. like whenever barty wasnt doing great he'd sit and stare at himself and go "what would hornkus do?" and create this older brother character in his mind, and eventually his personality was cohesive enough for him to gain sentience and break into the real world instead
uhh anyhaps hornkus binglefuck!!!!!!!!! isnt he so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i want to put him and his fugly crocs and ugly ass mullet into a jar and shake it violently hihi
(also multiple people have thought barty was a vampire because he had no reflection lmao)
