i thought i was confident in my body until i realize ive gained nearly 10 pounds over summer break. do i blame it on the antidepressants or the fact that im eating like shit

on another note, my pcp is thinking instead of depression i have bipolar disorder so that’s a new one.. ive heard that you could gain a bunch of weight on antipsychotics though and honestly at that point id rather be fucking manic

My bipolar rant to someone.

"Unless she has experienced thoughts that race like a thousand different sentences popping up into your head so fast you can't even understand them, unless she has gone without little to no sleep for 16 days straight, unless she has been so paranoid of everything that she duct tapes her windows, breaks radios because she's afraid people will steal her thoughts, unless she has pulled her hair out because of the voices in her head yelling and screaming at her, making it impossible to do anything.. Unless she has experienced what it's like to be catatonic, unless she has felt depression that goes to the pit of your soul.. So deep and rattling that your bones ache. So much that you can't even cry anymore. Unless she has cut herself for something more than just attention, unless she has had to get stitches because of her emotional pain, unless she has tried to kill herself for something other than attention.. Unless she has been actually fucking hospitalized and fucking diagnosed. You do not label or diagnose someone with that awful disease unless they have experienced those things which I have personally experienced. I may not like her, but I never wish this hell upon her. She should be happy her mind is clear of those demons. So don't you dare wave the word bipolar around like you know who has it because they get moody or angry sometimes. Don't you fucking dare." It made me so angry that one of my friends was waving the word bipolar around like he knew this one girl had it because she would really angry sometimes. So I had to share a pier of my mind with him. A piece of my bipolar fucking mind. Mood swings do not make you bipolar, they make you a teenager. It is so much more and so much worse than that. People need to learn.
