I always raised an eyebrow at Paul wearing the pride flag as a cape, like sure allies can wave the flag in solidarity but wearing it always seemed to me like you identify with the community. Paul also wore blue purple and pink flower on his wedding to Nancy which are the colors of the bisexual flag and was married on John's birthday. Coincidence? Maybe.

When I first saw him wearing it, the first thing that I thought of was “defiance.” He looks defiant and determined in that picture. Like he’s daring someone to challenge it. Also, the him wearing it is definitely a statement...

Again with the flower too!!! I actually didn’t know those thing about his marriage to Nancy. Wearing the flag, wearing the flower... Paul is not a man who does things just to do them. By wearing that flower and holding the wedding on John’s birthday... he is making a statement.

I don’t see how it could be a coincidence or an accident anymore. Not with everything he’s done. I think he’s telling us in the only way he can that wouldn’t won’t be overstepping what John would want. John never said anything definate and he isn’t here to come out with Paul, so Paul likely wants to honor that.

But Paul is talking. Maybe not explicitly, but he is, in that old McCartney way: through symbolism and silly love songs.
