I have read many good Zukka and Zukaang fics where Zuko was gay, but as good as they are they always kind of baffled me. I mean, we’re talking about someone who:

Dual wields

Has a prominent duality motif (“two sides of the same blade”, Roku vs. Sozin, warring nature, torn between good and evil, blue dragon and red dragon on either shoulder, etc. etc.)

Is bad at making decisions to the point where he once passed out.

Dude is so clearly bi to me it’s not even funny.

(Obvious caveat: You can headcanon him however you want. This is only my personal opinion.)

aang movie gave us bisexual zuko meanwhile natla removed almost every iconic jetko interaction so yeah I’ll take the 2d animated gorgeous passion project that the animators (who are all previous atla artists) went to hell and back to make over dull live action slop
