Dianna Hopper as Duke in Bit (2019)
fyi lesbian horror writer & critic sara century (who you may know from her guest appearances on the cerebro podcast) has a new zine out where she analyzes portrayals of lesbian vampires in film, television, and literature. it’s available in both print & digital, though i believe the print run is pretty limited so if you’re interested i’d order it sooner rather than later. you can order it from her gumroad here!
edit: i believe sara moved her shop to squarespace, so you can now buy her zines here:

I hate when a movie has a teenager find an unlikely home in a group of misfits who accept them for who they are and teach them to embrace their differences and they become really good friends only for it to end in the friend group trying to kill them at the end. Why does this always happen???

Genuinely one of the worst tropes in movies is a group of girls doing bad shit and then one of them develops a crush on a dude and turns against the girls? You see it alot in revenge movies too.
On April 24, 2020, Bit was released on the Internet in the United States.
oh my god I need to figure out how to download this movie and share a clip, the transition into "rasputin" had me laughing for a full minute
