I know that game cartridges for the Nintendo Switch have a bittering agent in/on them to discourage kids from swallowing the games.

I know that the bittering agent is gross. I know it lingers and it makes me miserable.

(I know this because, as soon as I heard about the bittering agent, I opened one of our game cases and licked a cartridge just to see.)

And still, when I am looking at a big spread of game cartridges for the Nintendo Switch (like when I am packing my husband's Switch away and I see all his cartridges tucked into those little slots in his carrying case), still I have the urge to Lick Them.

Someone tell me I am not alone.

(He thinks I am ridiculous.)

I ... feel like I want to be indifferent to La Copa, but I'm not, I hope tomorrow at 6:30 I'll be home to see the opening ceremony and then watch the game. But, I love when things like these happen, because people leave their jobs earlier and the streets are empty and the city at night is a delight. But, huh. I hate this whole thing.
