Chapter 1: Feels Like You're Letting Your Hands Off the Wheel

— Post-Canon, Fix-It, Angst with a Happy Ending

Summary:

The music was blasting so loud that Katsuki completely missed the knock at the door, his only warning of a newcomer being Kirishima’s frenzied shout as he welcomed the man that Katsuki was most eager to evade.

"Midoriya! You made it after all!”

Katsuki felt his blood run cold. Izuku wasn’t supposed to be here; he told them weeks ago in an apologetic text that he would be busy all weekend grading final papers. His absence was the primary reason Katsuki decided to come. So why the fuck was he here?

~ Alternatively, several weeks following the events of chapter 431, Katsuki and Izuku meet again at a class party. Finally—and perhaps for the very first time—they have a real heart-to-heart.

This time, though, it's different. It's different because these headcanons are le spicy.

KATZUKU:

important preface note: katsuki is transmasc afab in wdky(mywywd)

they're complicated.

Technically, they're both switches, and they are both theoretically vers, but izuku prefers domming and katsuki prefers subbing.

however, their two most common combinations are 1. mean!top dom izuku x bratty!bottom sub katsuki and 2. service!top sub katsuki x power!bottom dom izuku

izuku's top 3 kinks: praise (receiving), degradation (giving), edging (giving)

katsuki's top 3 kinks: degradation/humiliation (receiving), puppy stuff* (receiving), overstim/edging (receiving)

*katsuki isn't really into the more hardcore rp. he's more about the pet names and sub aspect.

katsuki tries really hard to make sure he's praising izuku, but most of the time, coherence goes out the window pretty damn quickly (izuku still loves him even though he's dumb)

I think katsuki's mean and loud persona is just him adjusting his inner brat to nonsexual socially "acceptable" levels and it also fuels his banter with izuku. (izu: Kacchan we need to do XYZ /kat: you can't make me)

I think izuku disguises nonsexual dominance as looking out for/being annoyed at/bickering with katsuki. I am willing to explain this further. (kat: you can't make me do anything/izu: try me)

are we suprised that tamaki is a sub? no, but we are that he's a switch. mirio's down for literally anything.

tentacle stuff, yep. wing stuff, yep. tamaki is also into pet stuff, but he does ears and tails like a normal person for that stuff because he's not a psychopath, he's not eating a cat or whatever

mirio's down for whatever (he likes making tamaki ask for what he wants. he likes making tamaki beg. it's lovely.)

I like to think that tamaki's super perverted (in a sweet boy way) and mirio's just kinda like "ah yes I'll let my cute boyfriend hold me down with tentacles and ride me, if he begs" "ill make him climax with only his wings, sure, but only if he asks for it"

I also think tamaki's ears are sensitive because I'm a freak and it's adorable

i hc that in a modern/no quirks/college au, katsuki would go into some kind of computer science/IT field and be damn good at it but when his program keeps getting errors he rages like me and looks up the people who created the language/software he's working on/with and then curses them and their moms out like me i could also definitely see izuku as a computer science/IT major, except he cries out of pure frustration when his code just Isn't Working also like me

@tobythetrashytrash makes some very good points but now all I can think of is a future where No. 1 Pro Hero Deku is recording those motivational “Stay in School Kids” videos,

and Kacchan and Todo or someone are in the background are just losing their minds and Katsuki looks him dead in the eye and mouths "Hypocrite" and Izuku who is so sick of this joke bec- let it slide Kacchan I was 16 and also in the middle of a WAR ple as e- (this is his 8th take because Kacchan has ruined the last 7 by snorting uglily in the background)

Me? avoiding canon traumatic events and skipping to the happy ending as a coping mechanism??? it's more likely than you think.

Thoughts on: deku realizes his feelings first, how does he go about wooing his kacchan?

ok so pretending that deku isn't literally the densest person in the world for right now

(hc under cut)

he realized on a random night right after dinner, everyone was on the couches and watching a movie mostly cuddled together and bakugou was unfortunately forced to sit right next to deku even though he was actually pretty tired and would rather be sleeping right now

and deku didn't really mind i mean, him and bakugou were friends so it was no big deal, right?

well yeah

it was no big deal

until halfway through the movie, deku suddenly felt a heavyweight on his shoulder, and when he turned to look he saw none other than a peacefully sleeping bakugou resting on him

he immediately froze

moving and waking him up could possibly cost him his life

so he sat there, frozen and starting to feel his face heat up and a funny feeling in his stomach

he tried to ignore like he did any other time he felt these things for bakugou but oh boy- this one was different

this was like something straight out of a romance manga that the main couple would do

couple...

and THAT's when it hit him

deku realized that he wanted nothing more than he wanted bakugou to be like this with him 24/7

he wanted to watch bakugou sleep too

the man looked so fucking calm sleeping after all

and so that's when it started

it took deku a week and a lot of ochako laughing at him for realizing his feelings just now before he actually built up the courage to figure out what to do with his emotions

he couldn't just ignore them anymore so after about 3 hours of debating with himself, he decided to try and subtly test the waters

which meant flirting

with bakugou

which ACTUALLY meant really terrible and cringy pick up lines delivered by a completely red broccoli, that only managed to get bakugou riled up and calling deku stupid as his ears were subtly burning

in other words, deku wasn't subtle at all. and bakugou was honestly starting to put two and two together

when he actually figured out what deku was doing, he almost choked on air out of shock

it took him a good few hours to analyze the situation and figure out what was going on

"Okay Katsuki. The nerd likes you- the nerd fucking likes you?! ...do you like him?"

his thought process went on the same as he debated back and forth and tried to lie to himself, but eventually, bakugou knew he also probably had those disgusting feelings

but did he let deku know of that? well of course fucking not

honestly, deku trying out his shitty pickup lines and subtly asking bakugou to 'hangout' was starting to become hilarious to him and he wasn't about to let deku get a date first

so he let deku's 'wooing' go on for another week or so, and when it seemed like he'd finally given up (at least on that idea)

bakugou walked over to him after school and asked him if he wanted to go get some ice cream with him while smirking

"Wait- wait are you asking m-me out?!"

"Uh yeah, what? Haven't you been trying to score me for the past month?"

and that's when deku slapped him right across the face

"YOU ASSHOLE! YOU JUST LET ME EMBARRASS MYSELF FOR A WHOLE MONTH WHILE YOU DECLINED EVERY OFFER JUST FOR YOU TO ASK ME OUT YOURSELF?!"

"..."

"YOU'RE A DICK KACCHAN! -pause- NOW YOU'RE TAKING ME OUT TO ICE CREAM AND THE MALL AFTERWARDS AND YOU'RE GONNA BE NOTHING BUT NICE TO ME FOR A WHOLE FUCKING MONTH BACK IF YOU EVER WANT THIS TO HAPPEN, GOT IT?!"

that seemed to get through to bakugou's head pretty quick because as he rubbed his cheek he very enthusiastically nodded

honestly yeah, he deserved that

Pro Heros and Dealing w/ Children

These are my hcs about how good Kacchan and Deku are at dealing with children. I might post some about other 1-A kids later, but I was inspired to do bakudeku because of the fic preview I recently posted.

- Little kids think that Baku’s abrasive/dramatic nature is pretty funny. (I can just imagine Baku loudly, yet harmlessly, scolding young children for rushing into danger...only for them to laugh at his dramatics.)

- They’ll see him yelling “DIE!” at a villain and be in awe of his victory. Then go around imitating him because they think he’s super cool (much to their parent’s chagrin).

- Baku is annoyed by most people, but he likes kids. They’re clingy just like older fans and chatty like reporters. For some reason though, it doesn’t annoy him as much when it’s a young child that’s trusting him with their safety just because he’s a pro hero (in training). 

- Deku is lovable in general, but he’s awkward when talking with children (and just people in general, but this is about the children). He’s just really bad at connecting with them, so kids prefer to interact with Katsuki.

- Katsuki lightheartedly makes fun of Deku for being awkward with kids.

- Deku loves watching Katsuki interact with young children. He looks so soft...

- Little kids think Deku looks super cool while fighting and he looks super nice, so he has a lot of younger fans.

- Baku doesn’t have as many young fans as Deku because he’s pretty intimidating, but the ones he has are very devoted and admire him a lot.

- Katsuki tries to soften his facial expressions when children are around. He doesn’t want them to find him intimidating (they’re his favorite kind of fans).

- When a kid comes up to Deku, he just goes in with a bunch of basic questions. Hi. What’s your name? What... And it goes on like that. He’s pretty awkward with reporters too, but at least those are prompted questions that he can ramble long answers to or ignore. Deku is a talker, so he has problems with kids who just want someone to listen. And he’s bad at relating to them (he gives very general responses).

- Baku as an older pro, getting close to retirement, with a large part of his fanbase being people he spoke to or inspired when they were little kids.

- Little kids being fans of the Wonder Duo (but favoring Deku over Baku), until they meet them. Then they have new respect and admiration for Hero Dynamight (but they still like Deku).

- A little kid, with a weak or nonexistant quirk, coming up to the Wonder Duo to ask if they can be a hero. 

Deku: (Tells the kid what he wanted to hear when he was a kid) You can do anything you put your mind to. I believe in you! *takes a deep breath to start a ramble about proper health and training*

Kacchan: (has matured enough to recognize that a quirk doesn’t make a hero, it’s the strength of heart, will, and body) *interrupts before ramble can start* You can do whatever the fuck you want to do. There are a lot of ways to be a hero, but to be a good pro you need the heart and the strength. The question isn’t can you do it, it’s can you put in the work to become the hero you want to be?

This is really long, so I’m gonna stop here. These are not organized at all. Sorry about that. I’m sorry, not sorry that there’s more Kacchan than Deku.
