I was thinking of making some more fusions and hybrids but for now I'll let it stay this way.
Rose is shy and compasionate, the only one here that tried to be an actual diamond but was very unhappy. She found perfection on inperfections and sooner rather than later decided that she had enough of Homeworld, became Petalite, stole a ship and ran away with her pearls. Petalite has less compassion inside and is often seen as a strict leader.
Lava is a very late diamond, a Era 2 one. Her powers are giving energy to other gems, maybe too much energy at times, to the point of making them poof. She was found by Rose and they reunited with Moon. Because no one could know that they were a diamond, Lava shapeshifted to be a Bixbite. She's sassy and full of energy.
Also her Bixbite design is as an adopt I got from lun_art_collection on Instagram that I used for this after giving it a few touches
Moon was born from White's leftovers. She's weak and no diamond (other than Rose or Lava) know about her. But Black Emerald is known and searched by other gems for stealing ships and helping off-colors. She's respected yet feared.
Since only Rose was known to the other diamonds before she dissapeared, Lava and Moon have no pearls. Rose got two for being too depressed.
Pastel Spinel was an abandoned defective spinel Lava found and inmediately kept. She's everyone's bundle of joy.
And Daisy is just gay.
For now this is everything until I decide if to do hybrids or fusions haha
The next sun shined as Emerald Sustrai has awoken from her hourly slumber after recovering from her wounds. As she wonders where she was, she sees Mercury sleeping beside her and smiled while patting his head, waking him up.
Mercury: *partially opens his eyes* Hm… Emerald?
Emerald: Hey.
Mercury: *surprised yet glad* Emerald!
Mercury hugs Emerald, leaving her speechless and thought she was dreaming at first, knowing Mercury doesn’t do anything of this sort. But she loved it so she embraced him anyways.
Emerald: Well this is new, but good.
Mercury: You’re okay? Nothing wrong?
Emerald: No… but where are we?
Mercury: We’re in a doctor’s house, he let us in after I told him about…that day.
Emerald: That- oh. Cinder.
Mercury: Yeah.
Emerald notices one of Mercury’s arms is bandaged, and casted.
Emerald: *concerned* O my god! Mercury! What happened to your arm!?
Mercury: Oh this… this is nothing.
Emerald: Not what I asked!
Mercury: Well it’s a long story.
???: More like a very long story.
Mercury and Emerald, mainly Emerald, was surprised to see who was at the door. Turned out to be Jaune and Zed.
Zed: Well, feeling better, aren’t we?
Jaune: Hello Emerald.
Emerald: *enraged* YOU!!!
Emerald rushes out of bed and charges at Jaune, believing he broke Mercury’s arm, but Mercury sprinted between them, stopping Emerald.
Mercury: Stop!
Emerald: But he-
Mercury: I did this to myself, so I can persuade him to come help us. To help you.
Emerald: *confused*
Zed: You were on the brink of death. I couldn’t do anything for you, so Mercury decided to seek outside help.
Jaune: That’s where I came in. After him and I made a deal that if I help you, he does whatever I say. And now, I’m here to collect.
Emerald in shock of this news, turned to Mercury hoping it wasn’t true. Sadly, Mercury, by turning away from her, confirmed it.
Emerald: No. Mercury.
Mercury walks to center of Emerald’s room and got on his knees, ready for what happens next.
Emerald: Mercury, please.
Mercury: I need to do this Emerald. Jaune, do your worse.
Jaune: Alright.
Jaune approached Mercury slowly, as tension was in the air. Emerald was trying to think of some way to stop him, but her options were limited; She could try to use her semblance, but her aura was low; she could rush in, but he’ll just push her back or kill them both, and she doesn’t have her weapons. All she could was watch but knew she had to try. Until instead of reaching for his sword, Jaune, asked for Mercury’s hand.
Jaune: Get up.
Mercury confused but accepts his offer. Jaune lifts him up and began healing his broken arm and when he was done, he grabbed his stuff and was prepared to be on his way. However, not before asking a very important question to Emerald and Mercury.
Jaune: If I let you both go, will neither of you not return to Cinder or Salem.
Mercury and Emerald jumbled by him asking such a question. Nevertheless, they respond to it.
Mercury: No, we won’t.
Emerald: After this! No way!
Jaune *smiles*: Okay, that’s our deal. Zed?
Zed: Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of them. As long as they obey my rules and behave. And take this map with you, it’ll at least help you get home easier and avoid grimm areas.
Jaune *grabs the map*: Thanks. Well I’m off.
Jaune leaves Emerald’s room and exited from the front entrance. However, Emerald followed behind.
Emerald: Wait! *breathing heavily*
Jaune: *looks at Emerald* …
Emerald: Please… tell me why.
Jaune: Um… why what?
Emerald: Don’t play dumb, you know exactly what I’m talking about! So why!? Why spare us!? After all we’ve done to you… your friends… your partner. Why? I don’t understand, we wronged you, you have every right-
Jaune: *cuts her off* True enough.
Emerald: What?
Jaune: I have plenty of reasons to kill you. But… after hearing a few stories… I decided maybe I should let this go. Especially… since you two remind me of another pair of friends… who I need to talk with after yesterday, last night.
Emerald: Um…
Jaune: Let me ask you something. Do you think I’m good enough?
Emerald: *surprised and embarrassed* Well… um *face turns a little red*
Jaune: *laughs* Forget it. I asked because I always had this feeling, that no matter what I do, I’ll never amount to anything. I had no one who believed in me. No one who loved me enough to say I can do it. My dad never trained me even when he promised he would. My sisters were more focused on me scoring a girl to help me. My mom didn’t even agree to my wishes, and my grandfather… well he lived a full life. Its funny really, everybody had somebody to help them when they needed it, everybody had somebody to teach them how to do the things they do, even care for them, but… I didn’t. And when I had Pyrrha… I lost her. So, tell me. Do you think I can’t relate to somebody like you and Mercury, without a cruel parent?
Emerald after hearing his story, felt awful. She never thought it possible for anyone, let alone some average guy to possibly understand her. But she wasn’t convinced. So, she gathers her strength and used her semblance on him. However, when she thought his story couldn’t get any more heart breaking, it did. In the illusion based on Jaune’s mind, she sees nothing but a boy, shunned by everybody he met, bullied by both human and faunas alike, and denied every opportunity to make his mark. Until, he saw an opening and made it his own. After seeing this, she rushed straight to him… but, out of pity. Jaune surprised by this, remembered her semblance to cast illusions, involving her entering one’s mind for her opponents to hallucinate in, so he returned her affection.
Emerald: Thank you. I owe you one.
Jaune: No problem.
Jaune and Emerald breaks up the hug and shook hands, preparing to say farewell.
Jaune: See you around.
Emerald: Maybe later.
Jaune laughs and the two parted ways, as Jaune starts walking home and Emerald returning to the house, with Zed and Mercury waiting for her. Zed was smiling as he was listening in on their conversation.
Zed: So, we were more alike than I led on. Hm. Good work, kid.
Jaune, finally done with what he set out to do, started to make the journey home. He looked at Zed’s map and found many shortcuts and ways to avoid grimm battles. As two hours passed, he saw he was already half way, as he looked from a far on top of a hill. He was happy and ready to make the rest the way back. Until, he a heard bird noise which sounded like a crow. He looked above, and the crow got closer and closer, landing on nearby branch. The crow had quiet a hair style that you don’t see every day, as it flew away to the direction of house. Jaune knew one thing, bad luck his coming his way.
Jaune: *sigh* Oh Jaune, you better be ready to explain yourself.
Emerald: *trying to catch her breath* Im- possible.
Nora: How about that you heartless bitch?
Emerald: How? Tell me how... How can someone like you, who simple minded and oblivious to negativity possibly beat me!?
Nora: What do you mean?
Emerald: I can tell from using my semblance on you. You and I were the same; hated and unloved by everyone. Then we meet that one person in our lives and yet we're still different. So tell me why am I-
Nora: Cause your heart is not in it.
Emerald not understanding.
Nora:*sign* Look when you were at Beacon, wasn't Ruby trying to be friends with you, weren't all of us?
Emerald: Well...
Nora: Exactly, friends weather they know it or not are there and what they do...is make that pain, that feeling of loneliness, go away. I realized that when I met Ren and then Jaune and Pyrrha came in to mix and they made me even more at home. But you wouldn't know that, not with your problem.
Emerald: You-
Nora: Has Cinder ever thanked you for everything you do for her? Has she ever told you how much you mean to her?
Emerald stays silent.
Nora: See that's the difference between us. I know what love is because people have shown me. But you can never see when there someone in this cruel world showing you as much as they can.
Emerald stays silent, as she recalls all the events that transpired. She started thinking about everyone but only one person comes to mind, Mercury.
Nora: We all got our problems Emerald, it's best that you take what you can get and move on. Goodbye, Emerald. Hope you find what you're looking for.
As Nora walks away, Emerald starts crying, having to recall all the rough times she had in life before, however as she recalled when she met Cinder, she realized one thing.
Emerald:My power. That's it. All you wanted was my power. Nothing else.
Emerald*gets up and whipping tears off her eyes*: Mercury, hang on.

Based in Reading, England, metal Black Emerald will release their debut album later this year. They released their first video Dr. Stein on Monday the 8th May which was made by Very Metal Art. The album will deal with topics surrounding life, death, addiction and mental health problems.

I love Jeanne Thornton’s writing, in part, because she allows her characters to be mean, contradictory, arbitrary, and trivial, all of which is extremely important to me. And because, perhaps equally important, all of her characters have meticulous bedrooms, and in my opinion, if you know your characters well enough to describe, exhaustively, what is on the walls, shelves, and carpets of the room in which they sleep, then you have pretty much risen above any critique that could be leveled against you as a writer.
