I decided to create a full, beautiful video centered on Teach confessing that he loves Eclair and fears losing her. For someone who has never been afraid to lose anything before, that says everything. He never cared what happened to his own crew because he believed they could always be replaced, but Eclair is different. She is the one thing he cannot imagine losing.

I wanted to explore the idea that even someone as cruel and dangerous as Teach could still crave the kind of love his parents once had. His father, feared by the world, was still said to be a devoted husband and caring father in his own way. His mother was strong-willed and protective, willing to do anything for her child.

Teach has done terrible things, especially to the Whitebeard Pirates and Ace, and none of that is forgotten. But even flawed and terrible people can still be capable of love. That was the heart behind this video.
