Rowena Ravenclaw is black. The only canon description we have of her is in the Sorting Hat's '94 song where it says "Fair Ravenclaw from glen." Many people consider that a physical description. HOWEVER that entire stanza reads: "Bold Gryffindor, from wild moor. Fair Ravenclaw, from glen. Sweet Hufflepuff, from valley broad. Shrewd Slytherin, from fen." The descriptions of all the other founders are focused on characteristics, so why would "fair" suddenly be physical/any different? #blackhogwarts
