• Knows there’s something wrong with him. Smiling and talking to you as his processor goes wholly inappropriate places. But you’re wearing that because of the heat and showing more skin than normal. That loose button up shirt of yours had already come off. Draped against a chair as his optics flick to it. Wanting it. Shouldn’t. It’s yours and he’s not a thief. Except he knows it’ll smell like you. Almost whimpering when you lay a soft hand on the back of his much bigger hand, he tries to not imagine you sprawled inelegantly on his berth, lips parted and eyes hooded with need.
• Why is he so distant today? More flustered than normal and distracted. Maybe he’s getting bored of you. He won’t even meet your eyes. Arms wrapping around yourself, you try not to take it too personally. You’re not Cybertronian and he’s not human. It hurts that you might be growing apart, though. Over the months you’ve gotten closer to him. Finding that the bot under the nervous humor is someone you actually like. And he’s the sweetest, most innocent person you know. An absolute cinnamon roll. So it has to be you. Your sense of humor probably. Maybe you’re too crude for him.
• You smile and turn toward the grill when Dani says your name and he glances at the shirt. Realizing there’s no one around as his servos flex. You’d just assume you misplaced it probably. Maybe borrow something from Dani. He’s moving before he even has time to really think about all the reasons he shouldn’t. Grabbing and subspacing the shirt as he keeps walking toward the station. Toward his habsuite. He’ll bring it back. You’ll never know. He’s not a thief if he returns it.
• Letting himself into his room and securing the door, guilt and anxiety wind him tight. Why is he doing this? What would you say? Pulling the shirt from subspace, he vents against it. Rotors spreading slightly as he scents you, he toys with the soft material, sliding it against his mesh. Wanting to scent you on him like he would if he brushed up against your body. Should stop. Needs to stop. Shouldn’t press his face against the material and imagine you sprawled on his berth naked.
• Sitting on his berth and lying back, he strains for any sign of anyone else in the station. But they’re all outside at the party. Where he should be. Venting against your shirt, he releases his spike to pressurize and slides his servos against the head. Imagining it’s your hands exploring him. Optics shuttered, he pictures you straddling him, soft hands wrapped around his spike as you whisper to him and stroke him. Fisting himself, he grunts and sinks his denta into your wadded up shirt to muffle his noises. Just this one time and he’ll be good. Just needs this. Pumping his spike, he groans and imagines you lifting up, slowly taking him deep. Riding him as he whimpers.
well now we have to see how RB Blades bashfully handles someone washing his sensitive wings

• Startling when he looks down and nearly falls into a wall trying to not step on the human staring up at him with a slightly hurt expression, he groans. How had you found him so quickly? “Sir,” you say, the one word so thick with disapproval that he wilts. “Are you avoiding me?” Yes, he is, but he can’t exactly say that as his rotors flick. It’s not like you have any idea how intimate what you’re wanting to do to him is, but he’s mortified.
• “Who me? I’d never,” he sputters, laughing nervously and you’d be annoyed if he wasn’t so damn cute. Can’t even meet your eyes as you point at his stall and his servos twist together like a little kid being reprimanded. Struggling to not laugh when his shoulders slump and he marches for the stall like it’s the gallows, you just shake your head. For a giant alien that can pick up in one hand, your assignment is shockingly skittish.
• You’re going to touch him. All over. Nervously sitting and clasping his hands together, he can’t look at you as you drag the hose over and prepare his soap. Hears the wheels on the step ladder squeaking when you pull it closer and he shivers as you spray him down. Leaning forward when a sponge touches a rotor, his hands are trembling. “Blades,” you say, voice a reprimand and he reluctantly sits still. Feels you grip a rotor, washing it as he squirms. “Just let me take care of you.”
• And he’s whimpering as he fidgets like he can’t be still. The noises he makes when you handle his rotors almost obscene. Not just whimpers, but soft hitching moans that have you flustered. If you’d thought he was doing it on purpose, you’d smack him, but you’re pretty sure it’s involuntary. Can feel him trembling all over as you keep going. Maybe it feels good to him, because it sounds like it does. “You okay?” You ask and his fans click on as his other rotor flicks faintly.
• “Great. It’s just a bath, nothing weird about this at all,” he groans, optics shuttering as you make an amused sound. Definitely isn’t going to dream about those soft hands. And about wholly inappropriate things like what’s under those coverings you wear. Uncomfortable, he keeps squirming, willing himself to not react and failing miserably. Because it feels better than he’d ever imagined and he’s aware that he’s growling and whining softly as you keep slowly touching him, washing him like a proper conjunx as the I’m you every time he vents.

— "I don't understand..." Chase admitted as he read trough the letter again. "Why would this lovely person be afraid of my reaction? There are no reasons for this person to feel scared of me..."
"Some people are just too shy first when it comes to confessing something." Cody explained him with a soft smile. "Don't worry, Chase, maybe they get enough courage and you can talk with them in person!"
"Or..." Blades were thinking for a moment before he looked up, a determined shine rested in his optics. "Maybe you already talked with them in person? Oh, what if you met them before at the previous rescues?" Blades questioned it, trying to figure out who was the mysterious writer...
— Now that Chase knows that you're not a fan of attention, he silently looks out for you everytime when he's in public. He tries to notice everyone and anything. Analizes reactions, body language, vocal sounds, face expressions, everything. Sooner or later, he will find you.
— Not because he wants to expose you, but more likely because he just can't look at that letter that made him feel slightly flustered without knowing who you are
— Goes trough your letter many times, he has it almost memorised at this point. Studying your handwriting, your wording, your sentences. The quality of the writing doesn't really matter at this point. You probably felt really embarassed while writing this, poor thing. Still, it makes his spark pulse and his whole body warm like nothing and no one ever before.
— Gets a lot of teasing because of it and it makes him feel all woozy
Heatwave
— Keeps it as a secret, since he doesn't want to receive any teasing because of it (especially from Kade)
— Annoyed because you keep your identity hidden from him. Heatwave also tries to figure out who you might be, but his attempt is unsuccessful.
— Tries to shrug it off saying that this is just another fan letter for him (even though that he rarely receives any fan mails), but his mind can't stop wondering to the letter again.
— Heatwave really wants to know who you are. Yes, he understands that you feel shy about showing your identity, but at the same time he wants to know who you are.
— Maybe telling you how flattered (and weirdly weak at the same time) he feels by earning your deep admiration and receiving such kindness and honesty from you. Telling you how these kind of 'interactions' make his day and help him keep doing his job - even though he doesn't really likes talking about feelings and stuff. He thinks it's cheesy.
— Keeps the letter afterwards, but he hides it from everyone and doesn't speak about it.
Blades
— OH he's all crazy and dumbfounded about it!!
— "Wow, what do you got there, Blades?" Dani asked, smiling how cheerful his rescue partner seemed.
"I have a secret admirer!" He excitedly showed the small paper to her.
Dani read it, although it was difficult, since Blades' servos couldn't stay still while he was eagerly talking about the letter.
"Wow," Dani said it in a surprised tone. "yeah, you do." She softly laughed. She found it sweet how hyped up her partner was.
"Omg, I cannot believe it- I mean, I can, but-"
— Feels more and more excited everytime he rereads your letter
— This bot won't (and probably can't) keep it as a secret. He tells everyone about it, but not because he's smug about it, he just wants to show his teammates what got him all jumpy.
— Feels sad why you kept your identity secret :c
He really wishes if he could meet you in person, maybe sit down and talk to you and get to know you more
— "You don't even know them." Dani laughed as she was trying to calm down her teammate.
"They can't be a bad person if they like me." Blades smirked. "And they wrote so many kind things about me. I bet we have a lot of shared interest!"
— Oh boy, he's completely lost by your letter...
Not going to lie, it's adorable.
Boulder
— This bot feels utterly touched by your words (oh god, he feels like he's blushing... is he blushing?)
— Wonders about how you look, what you like, how you felt while writing this letter. Were you this flushed and flustered aswell as him now?
— Graham finds the whole situation adorable
"Calm down, buddy." Graham smiles, as he casually adjusts his glasses.
"I just can't help but think about what they're like." Boulder spoke with a hint of excitement in his tone. But he was definitely happy by receiving such a deep admiration from a - probably lovely - person. "Do you think they like painting too?"
"I don't know, but hey, maybe someday they get enough courage to approach you and tell you all of this in person."
— Deep inside he hopes you don't feel so uneasy by him in reality. He prays you aren't scared of him, just a little shy when it comes to confessions and feelings.
— Boulder acts like he's calm and easy about it, but deep down, his mind is reeling and drowning in questions, eager to get to know you in person. He really hopes that one day he'll have a chance for that.
Salvage

— It doesn't take her long to recognise the letter's subject, she's a pretty smart bot :3

— The other autobots never saw her this puzzled and flustered before. And honestly, even she's not sure if she has ever felt this dazzled in her whole life-
— Feels dissapointed and down because she doesn't know who you might be, but she understands your choice
— She never felt this interested in humans before, but she would love to hear more about your feelings. Maybe additionally just seeing your expressions as your mind spinning searching for the right words.
— Quickshadow has never imagined that a simple paper with full of honest and loveful words gets her this bad... And she doesn't like to admit it, but look at that, she was wrong.
High Tide
— This old bot is soo confused in the beginning, he definitely asks for Optimus' advice at first, but after he realizes that asking a human about this would be more useful, he asks for Cody's help.
— A love letter? For him? From a human? I mean, he never thought about being in a relationship with a human before, but know that he looks at the letter, he thinks about it more and more...
— He's totally not blushing while he reads your admiration towards him...
— Tries to act like it's nothing, he even thinks about throwing the letter away, but his mind is full with thoughts and his spark is heavy with several emotions that confuses him
He doesn't even know who you are!!
— High Tide never felt this helpless and lost before, and honestly it annoys him so much

Heyo I’m so stupidly excited someone writes for the rescuebots. Do you have any headcanons of the four main bots being smitten with a human s/o? Just before dating, like their inner thoughts and acts to try and make it subtle or get it across?(you can ignore this if you wish, I love your writing either way!)
Oh So Smitten
Chase:
Chase is soft for you, but it can be hard to see sometimes. He doesn't act too different around you, but there's an obvious need to be around you that he carries whenever you're near. He lingers near you, minding his business but ready to be your helper should there be anything you need. And if that thing is just a conversation? He has many conversation starters saved up for such an occasion.
It needs to be said that while Chase doesn't act too different around you, he does act different around others. Both his team and Charlie have to hear about you near constantly. Chase has a lot memorized, trying his best to parse through his own feelings and what your own might be. He also wants to try and woo you, if possible, so he discusses his plans at length with his other, taking them as serious as a rescue.
Heatwave gets sick of it quick, but Boulder and Blades find it romantic enough that they do their best to keep up with Chase's intricate plans to show himself as a good partner for you. They even offer their own ideas for gifts to give you, but be careful. Chase cannot cook. He can, however, suss out the perfect gift based on everything you have ever said. Just don't be too put off by what he says as he gives them to you; he's still practicing with Blades on making his compliments more flattering instead of sounding like he's studying you like a bug.
Heatwave:
Heatwave is smitten, but you would never know. If you never hung out around him, that is. Heatwave likes to think he's got a good lid on his innermost emotions, but it's not hard to see how he relaxes whenever you're around. His voice softens, his posture slouches, and he smiles far more than he does whenever you're away. It's easy to notice, if you know what you're looking for. Everyone else has noticed, at least.
Given Heatwave's tendency to be, well, grumpy, it's easy to tease him about his crush. And tease his team does. Boulder coos and swoons over how in love with you Heatwave is, while Blades talks on about spring weddings and saying yes to dresses. Chase is more practical, showing off his relationship and dating self help books, trying to get Heatwave to do what they suggest. Heatwave doesn't, instead shouting at his fellow bots until they scurry off snickering.
What they don't see is his own plans, written down on a datapad he keeps on hand constantly. They're not very extensive or detailed, just small notes on things you like or activities you'd might enjoy. Heatwave is confident enough in himself to be okay without every detail being written down, and he knows you'll have fun together, whatever happens.
Boulder:
Boulder is the most laid back of all the other bots, and thus he's the only one that is really hard to guess where his feelings lie with you. He's adoring and sweet to everyone, always interested and curious of humanity. It takes the family and even the other Rescue Bots a while to realize his interest in you is more than just platonic, and that's only after they discover carefully drawn sketches of your profile surrounded by hearts in his habisuite.
Any teasing is to no avail, for Boulder isn't ashamed of his feelings. He understands that they're as natural as can be, and you're lovely, so why would he be ashamed? Teasing thus turns into encouragement to confess, and it's there where Boulder hesitates. While he's assured of his own feelings, yours are less known, and it's not confirmed you'd date a bot, much less him. Luckily, his team is nosy helpful, and figure out that you wouldn't mind a big, strong, handsome bot as a partner
With more confidence in his chances with you, Boulder steps up his game. He brings you flowers and drawings of the natural wildlife around the island, which eventually evolves into those sketches of you being shyly passed along whenever you're hanging out alone together. He compliments you too, so sweet that it makes you blush, which he wants to capture on canvas one day. If you're agreeable.
Blades:
Blades is the most obvious about his crush, which surprises no one. He's bashful and chatty at the same time, wanting to talk to you about everything, but also so shy that his face plate seems permanently stained blue. His rotors flutter a lot too, sometimes taking his pedes right off the ground when you make him flustered or excited. It's extremely obvious, but also extremely cute, so you don't mind.
It's easy to tease Blades about his crush, since he frantically denies it like you can hear him from across the island. Still, since he's a little hopeless and a little too reliant on movie tropes, the team does their best to help him along. And that goes about as well as you would expect, so not very well. While everything seems to fall apart, their attempts at nonchalant dates are nonetheless very fun for you, especially when they end with you in Blades' arms as he flees some danger.
Movie nights are a must, but also a way for you to add you own romantic opinions for Blades to hear. He points out courting rituals to you, eager to hear your ideas, and keeps them in mind as he grows more determined to woo you. Each date he tries to casually spring on you gets better and better, until you're both practically dating without anyone even saying anything.
Just take a strap on and make him a pathetic mess.
Have him cry out for me every time I hit that special spot, tease him as I promise him little sparklings in the future, even as we both know it's impossible.
Having him beg and plead for it to happen, for him to carry my child.

You may be wondering how the flip they're soft.
The answer is, 'a flip ton of bendy cords and fuel lines layered with some memory foam and waterproof carbon fiber cloth' (same goes for the others)
Another thing you can do is pepper his face plates with kisses

VERY protective and lowkey jealous
He carries you around like a baby. Theres no reason for it, thats just what he does. If Kade has any snarky remarks to say about it, you bet Heatwave is gonna clap back with something better.
Treats you like glass.
You're just so teeny tiny compared to him and he doesn't want to hurt you.
He'll feel absolutely terrible if he does.
Despite all of that though, he does generally treat you like a normal person. As well as letting you have your own life.
Do NOT make self deprivating jokes around this dude. For multiple reasons.
1, they make him stressed and sad (he won't admit that hes sad in front of the others tho)
2, It automatically triggers him to be even MORE protective
3, Heatwave will aggressively tell you how much he loves you and how pretty/handsome you are
For example,
'*Squishes your face with his fingers*, "Shush. You're fragging amazing. Say anything like that again, and i'm snuggling you for the entire godamn day."'
He doesn't yell at you though. Just has an aggressive tone.
He does the same for any insecurities you have too.
Oh, and he means every word he says when it comes to his bellicose praises.
"...I warned you, Dear."
*proceeds to pick you up in his hands and lay down somewhere while holding you against his chassis*
LOTS of kisses. Like for real you'll be out of breath when he's done with you.
It doesn't end there either.
He sometimes puts you in the passenger seat if there's an emergency so he can still keep an eye on you.

He gets angrier than usual if you're the one in danger, he only calms down once you're safe.
Chase
He loves and supports you so much aaa-
He was VERY blunt when he confessed to you
"(Name). Forgive me for saying but I have fallen in love with you, and wish for you to be my conjunx endura. You don't have to feel the same, but you have the right to know."
He was lowkey surprised when you said you felt the same
Chase proceeded to kneel down and pull you into a hug. You responded with hugging him back along with a kiss on the faceplates, the rest is history.
He loves any kind of affection you give him, just don't use sarcasm, he can't pick up on it.
His love language is usually physical touch, words of affirmation, and quality time
Chase only wants three things from you throughout this relationship.
Your happiness, your affection, and your safety.
Though he does want to keep you safe he's not really overprotective.
He insists on carrying you if you're somewhere where one of them could step on you.
You used to go on patrol with him...
Until you almost got merc'd by a haywire lawn mower.
Since then you stay at base, and he always looks forward to seeing you run up to him when he gets back.

This means that you can tell that he's being honest whenever he starts whispering sweet nothings to you.
And Chase mean everything he says.
And he always looks you in the eyes when he says one specific line, just so you know he really means it.
