{ outtake } me af in the mornings
(Doing some new years cleaning out of old drafts. This is one feels newly fresh with the recent blooper video having been released...but I think this was originally written in like, August.)
Having thoughts on the topic of Remus and bloops. Specifically, thinking about how bloopers might represent a sort of grey area of near-acceptance in-universe, because surely they would exist for c!Thomas's presumed videos just as much as they do for real ones.
Just...thinking about those moments of humor that have technically been rejected, but that still get to have a place to live and reach an audience.
Just...thinking about all the impulsive bits of improv that don't fit the canon, moments of inappropriate levity in the middle of a serious scene, the non-sequiturs that come out between reads, the jokes that can't be monetized or don't fit Thomas's brand, and yet still get their chance to shine...
(Like, Thomas-as-Logan corpsing over "Dead Puppy Society" in the WTIT bloops will never not be funny to me, and of course Janus's courtroom decree of "He's about to be served a giant dick" is a classic. But then I find myself thinking of these in things in the context of c!Thomas creating in-universe content, and it just...)

Shout out to the Starsky and Hutch “kissing like prime time homos” Montage from the really degraded Starsky and Hutch bloopers.
Can I see what’s going on? Not really. Do I still love the gay shit in the bloopers? Yeah, course I do. What other gay shippers can say they have a whole montage dedicated to their ship kissing?
